My medical history: I am petite at 5'2" and had two 8 lb babies in my 30's. Despite having a strong core before being pregnant, I had severe diastasis recti afterwards. I worked through PT to re-strengthen my abdominals and TVAs, but could not resolve the gap in my upper abdomen (my baby belly carried very high). After being discouraged over my physique and sad about putting away clothing that were no longer flattering, I decided to consider surgery to achieve real results.

Imagine a "young at heart" 80 yr. old with a ruptured left breast implant and a disintegrated right one - I was a mess (with 2 other serious health conditions)! Dr. G. was a godsend for his skill and care and his no-nonsense approach to the outcome. Kudos to his anesthesiologist and staff. I am so grateful and highly recommend him.

After researching and going to multiple consultations, Dr. Greenwald was my third—and final—consult. From the moment I met him, I appreciated his casual yet confident demeanor. He immediately understood the natural, proportionate look I was going for, especially considering my lean, athletic frame (I’m 5'4", 125 lbs). We decided on an inframammary incision for the lowest risk of complications. The consult was efficient but thorough, and I left feeling completely at ease. I booked my surgery the same day.

In the weeks leading up to surgery, Barbara, the patient coordinator, was incredibly helpful and responsive to my questions. The whole process felt smooth and organized.

On surgery day, everything went as planned. Dr. Greenwald and the anesthesiologist took time to check in with me beforehand and re-confirm my goals. I woke up after surgery feeling tight and sore, but otherwise well cared for. Dr. Greenwald ended up using Motiva Ergonomix Demi implants (320cc and 340cc), which suit my body perfectly and give me the natural, full look I wanted.

Recovery Highlights:
* Days 1-3: Sleep was tricky since I wasn’t used to lying on my back while elevated. Pain was manageable with Tylenol and muscle relaxers. I experienced soreness, tightness, and some nerve pain, but I avoided the stronger pain meds. My implants were very high and tight at first (which made me laugh), but I knew they’d settle with time.
* Days 4-6: Breathing became easier as the tightness eased up. I started taking short walks and got more comfortable with showering. Dr. Greenwald replaced my steri-strips at my post-op visit and started me on gentle massages.
* By 2 weeks: Pain significantly decreased. I stopped taking Tylenol and was able to sleep better. My right side healed faster, while my left had some numbness and nerve pain, which I was told was normal.
* By 1 month: I no longer wake up with any pain and am back to working out lightly. Implants look much more natural than the first few days. Scars have healed nicely and I use silicone scar gel on it every day.
* By 4 months: My implants have softened, dropped into place, and look very natural. I was back to my day to day after 2 months and even traveled a few times.

Choosing Dr. Greenwald was the best decision I made—he delivered exactly what I wanted, and I’m so grateful for the entire experience!

Choosing Dr Greenwald and having this surgery was one of the best decisions of my life. To say that I am happy with my results are an understatement. When I look in the mirror now I see the body that I feel like I was always supposed to have lived in. In addition, my back and shoulders feel liberated from the sheer weight of being dragged down by heavy, sagging breasts.

I researched surgeons for years, and did 5 in-person consultations before deciding on him. Several of the other surgeons told me that I would not achieve upper pole, and that I should still expect significant sagging post surgery, and pushed me towards an implant to "solve" that problem. Dr G, in contrast, exuded just the right amount of confidence where I knew he could deliver on what he promised, without ever over-promising or bragging. I especially appreciated that he has extensive experience with reductions/lifts without implants, and has truly perfected this particular procedure. His before and after photos show that he really takes the time to think about esthetics of the breast, and how to restore as much shape/upper pole as possible using your natural tissue, as well as that rounded bottom that a lot of other surgeons miss. I am also super happy with the lipo I chose to add. I didn't need anything stronger than Advil/Tylenol during recovery, and, while I was pretty sore from the lipo for a few weeks (as expected), the long acting nerve blocks in my breasts meant I was never in pain at the incision sites, despite a full anchor lift.

In addition to being a great surgeon (in fact, I would posit he's an artist) he also listens to your goals and priorities. The decision of which procedures to undertake, where, and how, was very collaborative and informed, and I wasn't sold on any false premise at any point.

After losing about 20 lbs, my breasts were lacking volume and I really wasn't sure what I wanted. I wanted them fuller but I was afraid if I did implants it would make me look heavier.
The best thing I did was put my full trust in Dr. Greenwald. He truly is an artist and listens to what YOU want. Even though I wasn't exactly sure what to precisely ask for, I just told him the outcome I wanted, the outcome I was afraid of, and he magically made it happen. He also took a bit of skin off to make them perkier.
Recovery was an absolute breeze. I took the week off and was bored by the 4th day. He takes such good care of you, makes sure that you're happy, and there isn't one person on his staff that isn't an absolute sweetheart.
I couldn't recommend Dr greenwald enough. And a huge plus for me is that his office isn't in manhattan!!! His office is in an office building with a parking lot. Such a dream lolll worth mentioning imo!
