Rhinoplasty and Nose Shaping

My first step for every patient during the initial consultation is to learn your individual goals for the changes you wish to make to your nose. Every patient has different views of what they want and it is so important to understand this prior to planning surgery. My goal for surgery is to create a natural looking result which complements the rest of your face and does not appear "overdone." I always advise my patients to make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and not just a computer animation system. You should be able to view numerous pictures of actual patients with noses similar to yours performed by your surgeon. All patients are given my personal cell phone number and can contact me directly any time after surgery.

Breast Surgery

My goal for breast augmentation is a natural looking and feeling breast. With careful selection of implant size and meticulous surgical technique, this can be performed with a small incision approach. I always like to take a team approach with my patients and all decisions regarding implant selection are always based on a detailed discussion with equal input from my patients and myself. All patients are given my personal cell phone number and can contact me directly any time after surgery.

Abdominoplasty

My goal for a tummy tuck is to help patients achieve their body goals after weight loss, child birth, skin laxity, and numerous other individual reasons. My major aesthetic goal is a low and short incision, all completely below the bikini line. The belly button is truly one of the most important aspects of this surgery and can be designed to look natural and have no scars on the exterior. I frequently perform muscle plication, resulting in a flat abdomen. All patients are given my personal cell phone number and can contact me directly any time after surgery.

Amazing Experience!!

Dr. Reish and his team are exceptional! From the very first visit, they made me feel incredibly cared for, comfortable, and calm (which says a lot if you know me!). I genuinely have fun every time I’m in the office, which I also think speaks volumes about the environment they’ve created. I had to get complex revision rhinoplasty and there’s really no surgeon I trusted more to do this than Dr. Reish. His expertise is unmatched. While I’m only 2 weeks post-op and very swollen, I already know I made the right decision in choosing him. I’m beyond grateful!

The Best Experience

Getting surgery was something I always wanted but was so nervous to do for the longest time. Before meeting with Dr. Reish, I went on many consultations and did a lot of research. I decided to do a virtual consultation, then in person consultation with him. After meeting him, the staff and going to the faculty, I instantly knew this is who I trusted. He is extremely knowledgeable, professional and confident. He took the time to explain specifically what he would do and described techniques like nasal de projection which many other surgeons could not do that I met with. I had this surgery done for two reasons, because I had a difficult time breathing with a deviated septum and I did not like the appearance of my nose either. Going into surgery is a very scary feeling but the entire staff from the front desk to all the nurses and anesthesiologist were all very professional, personable and made me feel comfortable. The recovery was very difficult for the first week but the nurses called to check in and Dr. Reish answered any question quickly through text. I am 6 months post op and feel more confident than ever. It truly was one of the best decision I’ve made in my life. If this is something you want to do, do it and choose Dr. Reish. He is so talented and an expert at his craft. I can finally breathe normally and love my new nose.

Wonderful Experience and So Happy with my (Still Early) Results

I’m 10 days out from my primary rhinoplasty with Dr. Reish and even though it’s still early, I couldn’t be happier with my (very) early results and my experience with Dr. Reish and his incredible medical team. I can’t speak for anyone else’s recovery because we’re all different but I followed Dr. Reish’s pre and post-op instructions *in excruciating detail* and after 10 days I have almost no bruising (you’d really have to look for it). I barely have any discomfort and while I’m still swollen (as one should be for several months), no one who doesn’t know me very well can tell I had anything done. Even though the swelling, I can absolutely see the vision and I COULD NOT be happier with my results so far. I’ll surely update this review with photos in time. I did an ABSURD about research before even booking a consultation and Dr. Reish’s reputation, credentials and accolades speak for themselves. What really stood out was my friends experiences with him and other surgeons. I know several people who went to him for their second or even third revision (after going to other surgeons) and they finally had the experience they wanted and are so happy with their results. Everyone I know who went to Dr. Reish had results that are truly in harmony with the rest of their facial features and they all insisted he is the one to go to for rhinoplasty, without exception, and as soon as I got to my consult I understood why. He also gives every patient his cell phone number and encouraged me to text him questions anytime. I’ve been uncomfortable with my nose for as long as I can remember. I’m not one to nitpick different parts of my face or body but my nose really stood out and was affecting the overall balance of my face. To say nothing of my confidence. I had a slightly pronounced dorsal hump, and a somewhat bulbus tip made my nose feel too long and (most unfortunately) hooked downward slightly when I smiled. That being said, I also did not want a perfect little Barbie nose with too much of a ski slope shape that I find so often in some rhinoplasty patients. I told Dr. Reish I really wanted to look like myself and to have my surgery be almost imperceptible to the people who know me. I just wanted to look like a slightly better version of myself with more balanced facial features. Dr. Reish understood my vision right away and broke down exactly what he would want to do with my nose to give me a really natural results without making any radical changes. I immediately knew I was in the best hands. His professionalism and bedside manner also put me completely at ease. You know how you just get a good feeling about some people? Well that’s how I felt, he really has integrity in his work. To give you a timeline, my consult was 11/18 and I booked my surgery the same day. Surgery was scheduled for 12/15 and my virtual pre-op appointments with Dr. Reish and a member of the nursing team was scheduled for two weeks before surgery on 12/1. Day of surgery I met with the kind and incredibly knowledgeable anesthesiologist, Dr. Lawhon. An absolute gem. General Anesthesia always makes me a little nervous but not this time. Rose was my nurse and she put me right at ease, escorting me to the surgical suite and getting me all set up. I woke up from anesthesia to some discomfort but in my case, nothing that two Tylenol couldn’t handle. I was a little woozy on the way home but I slept very well, perched at 45° on my wedge pillow (that’s important!). I got a call from Dr. Reish the following morning before I even expected it and several more calls in texts in the following days from Dr. Reish himself and his nursing team. My post-op and cast removal was one week later. I had not been happy with my facial balancing or most photos of myself since childhood (and I’m 41) but I’m already (finally!) happy looking at myself in the mirror which is more emotional than I expected in the best way possible. I can’t say enough about my experience with Dr. Reish, and I certainly tried here, so if you made it this far, thank you for reading!

I Had an Amazing Revision Rhinoplasty Experience

Dr Reish is extremely helpful, kind and thoughtful. This was a revision and I was very worried going in and he made it so easy in many ways. I love that he gives out his number to his clients in order to stay connected with all of them. It was a great way for me to ask any questions I was concerned about. As I wait for the final result I am confident and happy that all will be well!!

Amazing Doctor

Dr Reish was recommended to me by a plastic surgeon in NJ for rhinoplasty surgery. The NJ doctor was reluctant to do the rhinoplasty because of a large skin graft on my nose from skin cancer surgery. He advised me to go see “the best rhinoplasty doctor”, Dr Reish in NYC. I’m so thankful he recommended Dr Reish. From day 1 he was kind, knowledgeable, encouraging and patient. He explained everything he would do and gave me plenty of time to ask questions. He put my fears at rest. My nose was crooked , needed a septoplasty, very bulbous, tip needed to be brought up and one side had a large indentation due to the skin cancer surgery. Dr Reish took such care to make sure my skin graft survived. I’m one month from surgery and still swollen but I can already see it will be just as I hoped. I have texted Dr Reish a few times this past month to ask questions and he responded very quickly. The entire staff are helpful and kind. It was a very smooth process. So thankful I found Dr Reish. 10/10.

Worth Every Penny

I have been operated on by highly lauded and skilled surgeons before, and can affirm that for rhinoplasty Dr. Reish is the best of the best. I came to Dr. Reish for my revision rhinoplasty, hoping to make small tweaks—my initial surgeon didn’t deproject my nose, left it crooked, and still a bit bulbous. Some surgeons advised me not to do a revision. They said that my nose was good enough and it would be risky. My nose truly was not bad or botched. But it wasn’t exactly what I wanted either. After thinking it over for 3 years, I decided to undergo a revision and am so glad I chose Dr. Reish to operate on me. Initially, I was a little nervous. I noticed that Dr. Reish appeared to be very busy and my consultation with him felt short. But in that small amount of time, he instilled a lot of faith in me. Before I told him anything, he knew exactly what needed to be fixed. Literally read my mind. No notes. For every question I asked, he had a well thought out answer. I could tell, I was speaking to an expert. What convinced me even more was that all his before and after pictures speak for themselves. Yes, they are not all perfect Barbie noses, but there’s a reason for that. He focuses on what each individual patient wants. And he’s meticulous with the details. It’s a millimeter job. He refuses to cut corners. Before and after the surgery, I was able to text him with any questions that came to mind and he regularly and swiftly responds to them. So, that too made me believe that he really cares for his patients. Overall, this was a very pricey procedure, and while I could have done it cheaper elsewhere, I simply wouldn’t. With Dr. Reish, you are guaranteed to be listened to and cared for. I can’t say the same about other doctors. I’m only 1.5 week post op, so super swollen, but can’t wait to see the reveal of my new nose in the coming months/year. If you are based in NYC, 100% go with Dr. Reish. If not, it’s probably worth getting a virtual consultation with him or even traveling to him.
