I have heard stories from friends who have had this procedure and read online that an otoplasty is one of the most painful cosmetic procedures, particularly after surgery. I am just wondering whether or not this is true. I find it difficult to believe as i know that many children below the age of 10 get this procedure done.
Otoplasty does not cause much pain. As you said we do this on young children and had minimal complaints of pain. In fact if they have a great deal of pain this should be evaluated since bleeding can cause this.
How Can Reduce my Ear Size Without a Surgery
Dear patient,
There are several surgical techniques available to reshape ears, they are collectively called otoplasty. Whether it is a complex otoplasty or a minimally invasive technique all require incision. There is no non-surgical technique available to reshape ears or reduce ear size. Good luck. Dr. Kevin Sadati
How can a pixie ear be corrected? Can it be made to look like the other normal ear, or does the other ear need to be fixed as well to match the corrected pixie ear?
To fix a pixie ear deformity, you have to undergo another mini facelift and it can be done under local anesthesia for about $6000 and is so worth it since it makes you look more natural and less likely that people will comment about your original poor facelift. Sincerely,
