Dr. Toby Mayer, MD is a triple board-certified plastic surgeon practicing in Beverly Hills, California. Specializing in a wide range of procedures of the face and neck, Dr. Mayer is particularly known for his expertise in Transgender and Non-transgender Facial Feminization Surgery, including Mayer Voice Feminization and thyroid cartilage shave, the Mayer Hair Flap, rhinoplasty and rhinoplasty revision surgery, and face and neck lifts.

Dr. Mayer has pioneered and perfected his skills in Facial Feminization Surgery, since modern facial feminization first started 45 years ago. Until recently, Dr. Mayer was one of only two surgeons performing these surgeries in the United States. He invented most of the techniques used by other doctors today, including the Irregular Trichophytic Hairline Browlift, the Mayer Hair Flap procedure, the Mayer Voice Feminization procedure, and many more. He has taught and led conferences on these subjects and wrote the textbook Aesthetic & Reconstructive Surgery of the Scalp. He has become widely recognized for his talents in creating beautifully delicate feminine features with natural-looking results. After graduating from the Indiana University School of Medicine, Dr. Mayer completed his internship and residency training at the University of Southern California and was fellowship trained at the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He was also appointed as Clinical Professor and past co-chairman of the University Of Southern California School of Medicine’s Division of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
