In 2012, I began to search for solutions to address my undereye area. In the hopes of adding volume and correcting hyperpigmentation, I had fillers in my tear through multiple times throughout the years. Because the results were never satisfactory, I had them dissolved three times (with no noticeable damage to my tissues). In 2023, through my own research, I discovered that a midface lift could help in making the appearance of the undereye area more youthful. I came accross Dr. Randal Haworth's webpage and by 2024, he was the 7th surgeon I had a consultation with since beginning my quest in 2012. Below, I share my experience in the hopes that it may be useful to others. Gender: Female Age: 35-40 Ethnicity: Afro-descendant Surgery: Endoscopic midface lift & Fat transfer Date: 2024 I had a midface lift with Dr. Randal Haworth, in Beverly Hills, and all I can say is "WOW". He performed the endoscopic midface lift and fat transfer in such a way that all my facial features are benefiting from this enhancement. My cheeks, my undereye, my eyes and my mouth have all been tweaked by this midface lift. The subtle changes he made have given me a more harmonious face with modelesque cheekbones and almond-shaped eyes...all from an endoscopic midface lift and fat transfer! Recovery: I didn't experience pain and followed all post-operative instructions diligently. I went back to work after 3 weeks. My face was still swollen but with makeup, I didn't feel self-conscious. I could tell people saw that something was different about me but not to the point of being able to pinpoint what it was. One person asked me if I had had botox or fillers. Because it's a major surgery, parts of my midface were numb for 4 to 8 weeks and big facial expressions were limited for about 4 to 6 weeks. Clinic & staff: After my online consultation with Dr. Haworth, it was very clear to me that I had finally found my surgeon. I felt at peace with the investment I was about to make in myself for the following reasons: -he took the time to listen to my concerns, to educate me on the different options, to manage my expectations, to guide me in my decision-making process and he reminded me that this surgery was elective and that I should not feel like I "needed" it; -he shared his knowledge and explained complex medical terms with a sincere desire for me to understand what the surgery and the recovery entailed; -the staff at the clinic and the patient coordinator were the definition of "excellence" in the field: clear and timely communication, attentive, helpful, discreet and kind. Special thanks to Jentana: she's a GEM. Due diligence: As we all know, trusting the wrong physician with any surgery can be a life-altering decision. Which is why I appreciate the fact that Dr. Haworth published an open letter to his patients on his website. It's titled: "Crime, lies and vindication". His transparency allowed me to do my due diligence. Because of my professional background, I thoroughly researched any information that was available through court documents and the media so that I could make my own informed opinion, based on my understanding of the facts. I'm happy I did so: I went into surgery knowing that I was in very good hands, with a capable and trustworthy surgeon. Results: It's now been a bit over 6 months since my surgery and I'm more than pleased. I never thought that my expectations could be exceeded. Not only do I love the results, I appreciate the fact that the fat transfer seems to have given my skin a glow up. My everyday makeup routine is quite minimal now, as I need less coverage of my undereye. Cost: This will be frustrating to some but others will understand : I see no value in sharing the cost of my surgery for two main reasons: -Each case is different, so you might as well just reach out to Dr. Haworth's office to get a clear picture of your situation and not be misled or influenced by someone else's reality; -I personally believe that choosing the right surgeon for oneself should be the #1 criteria. For me, that meant a trustworthy surgeon with proven expertise and an artistic flair that sets them apart. I was never going to put my well being at risk for a pecuniary interest. So there it is. Hope this helps!
I did a 3D lip lift with Dr. Hawort in November 2024. The result is beyond my expectations. He is absolutely incredible. He's a magician. Extremely professional and attentive. I traveled from Switzerland for this operation and I don't regret it. It confirms his reputation as the best surgeon in the world.
I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Haworth. I had a midface lift, brow lift and facial fat transfer. I am thrilled with the results. I couldn’t imagine a better outcome. The results are so natural yet stunning. I look younger and prettier, but still like myself. He’s beyond gifted and I’m so grateful that I went to the right person for the surgery. Definitely Ha-worth it!
NOTHING SHORT OF AMAZING! Dr Haworth and his staff are absolutely are extremely genuine and down to earth human beings that care for the needs of others! The overall experience and procedure was worth every penny! I can’t thank them enough for knocking even more years off of my face! I had a lip lift done with Dr Haworth and let me just tell you ladies….the results are fantastic and your going to get ALOOOOT of compliments but the reality is your going to have to put in alot of work as far as maintence goes and what I mean by that is, you gotta take your vitamins and arnica pills were basically a part of my everyday life! I ate the right foods and I did a whole lot of lymphatic drainage massages to help with the swelling! For about the first four months you’re going to start seeing the results come into fruition! Your going to freak out at the beginning because of the swelling but this is one of those procedures that you’ll simply have to rely on that old saying “trust the process” after surgery your going to feel discomfort and it’s simply just going to take a long time to heal but I know that once your all healed you’ll be over the moon! After I had this procedure done it made me very thankful I chose Dr Haworth because this isn’t a procedure that I believe every doctor can knock out of the park! If you choose to do a lip lift procedure PLEASE PICK DR HAWORTH! And as far as all the other negative reviews about the scar being super bad is a lie well at-least for me! It’s healing up nicely and you can barely see it! The doctor will also laser the scar too! You want to be in good hands this is him! Thank you so much again!
Dr. Haworth is exceeds expectations when it comes to pleasing the patient. His eye for detail made me relax knowing I was in the hands of an expert. He went above and beyond in not only the procedure but also the follow up appointments. I feel confident that even though I am still healing that he will make sure I love my results.
I've known Dr. Haworth for many years. He has helped me throughout the years fixing swollen lips, bad injections I got somewhere else and chin deformities resulting from other doctors. Everytime I would go to his office I would see the beautiful results he achieves when he does surgery. So I'm very excited to have an upcoming surgery scheduled with him. But the reason I'm posting this elated review is because I've had this lump under my right eye for many years. In the past, I had gone to many doctors, supposedly experts in lump removal or ophthalmology/plastic surgery and it was a really discouraging experience because each and every one had told me to just live with it. They didn't even try to offer options other than cut it out with no promise of a good outcome. I had a dermatologist try kenalog - only to some tissue atrophy surrounding the tissue but the lump was still there. Really, I had learned to live with it. But, Dr. Haworth, in all his wisdom, asked me if he could inject the lump with a certain solution and right there and then - my lump went away! I was blown away! Seriously, all these doctors and dermatologists could not have thought of that before? I am forever indebted to Dr. Haworth for fixing my deformity and I didn't even ask him... Goes to show his knowledge is above all other Doctors and his willingness to help shows great compassion. Also, if you look at his work it's quite impressive. Thank you so much Dr. Haworth!
I had the pleasure of meeting with Dr. Haworth yesterday and have him inject filler in my nose to correct my asymmetrical alar rim area. I found him to be extremely knowledgeable about the best course of action for my case and explain it to me in a way that made me confident I was making the best decision to fix a problem that has been bothering me for a long time. His true medical expertise and artistic understanding of facial aesthetics is outstanding in my opinion - and I have consulted with many doctors in Beverly Hills. Could not recommend more.
Dr. Haworth performed a mid-face lift. To be clear, it was a hybridized version that included state of the art threading to improved my frown lines. He introduced this route as an option to getting more filler. I was never completely satisfied with filler to this area because I felt it made me look "cheeky" when I smiled. It altered my natural appearance too much. This procedure involved placing threads in 2 places of each cheek that are then pulled up, tightening the skin and almost completely eliminating frown lines. The thread ends are discretely sutured behind the hairline above your ears. They're are not the beaded kind with something to build collagen. These are specifically made to pull back the skin through a string that is elastic so it retracts when you need it (like smiling) and expands when you don't. This is truly incredible. I am 3 weeks out from surgery so I am still healing, but the swelling is almost dissipated and I think I look great. When its healed I think I will look like I'm in my early 30s. I'm 54. I was wondering where very successful actresses go to have plastic surgery. They're women in their 50s that suddenly look like their in their mid-20s to 30s. I think I just realized where they go...
Dr. Haworth performed a lip augmentation with fat procured through liposuction from my flanks. I could only find lip filler so that's how I had to categorize it here. After seeing to complete results from my chin augmentation and V-Y plasty, I realized that I had a much stronger chin and my lips looked thinner in proportion. This is also something he predicted in my consultation prior to my chin implant and V-Y plasty. At the time of those procedures, I thought I might not need more lip volume, and since my body fat hovers around 6-7%, generating enough fat for the transfer was too great a cost. I would have to eat much more and work out less - a lot less. I don't think I've ever eaten so much fast food in my life. Although I had to increase my body fat by so much, I couldn't be happier with my decision. I'm only 3 weeks out from my procedure and already love the way my lips look. I always wanted fuller lips, but I didn't want to look overdone or fake. The VY plasty was great, but the fat transfer is the icing on the cake. I had no doubt he would give me the look I wanted. My lips look perfect to me now. I can't thank Dr. Haworth enough.
On the same day I had my chin implant, Dr Haworth also did a light liposuction and fat transfer to my face. The fat was taken from my mid-section and placed in my lips, area under my lips, and my chin and jawline. He ingeniously transferred fat to the area under my lower lip like pillars in order to create a means of support to my lower lip and get rid of wrinkles in the area. He did this to my jawline as well and with my own fat, no implant, made my jaw more defined and even lifted a bit of a "turkey neck" I was getting. This alone took a good 5 years off my face. I couldn't have been more pleased with the outcome.
Reach out to your blepharoplasty surgeon to discuss your concerns. They can evaluate your specific case, rule out any potential complications, and provide guidance on the best course of action. Topical treatments like vitamin K creams or arnica may help reduce discoloration, but their effectiveness can vary. Consult with a dermatologist to explore suitable skincare options. Depending on the cause, certain laser treatments may help address discoloration or blood vessel visibility. Consult with a dermatologist or a plastic surgeon experienced in laser procedures for personalized recommendations. Best of luck !
Given the upcoming heart surgery, they will need to assess your overall health, cardiac condition, and whether a breast reduction is a viable option. Heart conditions may impact the timing and safety of elective surgeries, so it's important to have a comprehensive evaluation by both specialists to determine the most appropriate course of action for your individual situation. Coordination between your cardiac surgeon and plastic surgeon is essential to prioritize your overall well-being and address any potential concerns related to the heart surgery. Best of luck !
Based on your photo, you could be a good candidate for an elastic lift, which is the best procedure to address nasolabial folds (see link below). Best of luck !
Your concerns and preferences are valid, and it's essential to communicate them with your plastic surgeon. High-profile implants can provide more projection, while moderate-profile implants offer a more natural look with a slightly wider base. Share your desire for a more natural look with increased size and express any concerns you have about high-profile implants. Discuss your aesthetic goals with your surgeon. Ask your surgeon for before and after photos of patients who have similar body types and aesthetic goals. This can give you a better idea of the potential outcomes with both high-profile and moderate-profile implants. During your consultation, use sizers to get a sense of how different sizes and profiles may look on your body. This can help you visualize the potential results and make a more informed decision. If you are uncertain, consider seeking a second opinion from another qualified plastic surgeon. They can provide an alternative perspective and offer guidance based on your specific situation. Ultimately, the decision between high-profile and moderate-profile implants should align with your personal goals and the look you want to achieve. Best of luck !
The choice between dissolvable and permanent sutures for areola reduction is a decision that should be made in consultation with a qualified and experienced plastic surgeon. Both options have their pros and cons, and the right choice may depend on various factors, including your specific anatomy, healing process, and the surgeon's preferred techniques. A skilled surgeon can provide insights into their preferred methods, potential outcomes, and address your concerns, helping you make an informed decision that aligns with your expectations and comfort level. Best of luck !
