After 8 years post explant, I missed the fullness of implants. I decided to have a dual plane sub muscular sientra gummies implanted with Dr. Bresnick. The previous ones were above the muscle. Dr. Bresnick and is staff were incredible. Due to two previous surgeries, I also used galaflex internal mesh to prevent bottoming out. I'm 4 days post op and sore despite experall and pain meds. All healing is going well and my sutures look great. It will be a while before I drop, but I can already tell I'm happy with the results. Updated on 1 Apr 2025: I feel great. Here’s a breakdown of day by day. Day 0: groggy and sore. A bit hard to move especially lifting up from 45 degrees to a full sit. Keeping my arms by my side and I’m all bandaged. 1DPO: lying down a lot. I have a constant soreness or burning sensation even with the meds, but it’s tolerable. I also went to the doctor for my first check up. Everything looked great. No bruising, no bleeding. The doctor put me in a bralette for coverage and gave me for a strap to help push down my breasts. They are a bit high right now. 2DPO: I walked around the mall for a couple of hours today. I couldn’t walk fast but I know I’m not supposed to. I just did a bit of shopping. 3DPO: I’ve been a bit more tired today in the morning. Friends came over to visit and we hung out into the night! Very limited with my arm motion and lifting. Also had my first shower. When I change my bandages, still no blood. 4DPO: Went to the bathroom (#2) for the first time since the surgery. It’s been days of miralax and stool softener. I’ve been bloated and afraid to push too hard because of the pressure I might have to use in my chest. Feeling better now that I could finally go. Walked around a museum today, took the elevator instead of the stairs because I could feel my heart rate getting high. 5DPO: I went to my next follow-up today. Still have a bit of nerve pain. It’s getting more tolerable. If I move in a weird way, I can feel it in my chest. The doctor said it looked good. We adjusted the strap again and I learned the importance of wearing the back of it low on my back to help put pressure on the breasts to push the implants down. 6DPO: It’s tough to sleep but easier to sit up and hurts less overall. I’m itching to be able to get leg workouts or something in. I get my stitches out Friday and I’m going to see when I can workout again. Also excited for when these girls drop. I’m including pics from this past week and wish pics.
Highly recommend Dr Bresnick. From consult, to surgery day and eventually to the follow ups, him and his staff made the nerve wrecking breast augmentation process as comfortable as possible. I decided to choose him despite all other options, especially the endless 90210 docs, because his background/experience, his bedside manner, but most importantly (to me), he listened to my goals, which was to have natural looking breasts. He was helpful and honest in guiding me, so I could meet my initial wants according to my anatomy. It’s now been a year and I could not be happier with how they look and my experience overall!
Waited over 16 years to do this. I had a consult with him when I was living in another state for years... Got scared and even got other consults closer to where I was living at that time. Now I am back in S. California area and I can't stop thinking of my loose belly because of the big babies I carried and no matter what I do to exercise the muscle separation made me look a bit pregnant. I don't have stretch marks (thanks to my mother) and I am a bit overweight but not too much. I am good at hiding it under workout clothes and tight spandex/spanks but I realized it would never go away. As I am getting older I had to make this a reality or live with the fantasy of my past flat belly... first pick was always Dr. Stephen Bresnick. I am so proud of myself for picking him because he is a doctor that really cares' meticulous about his work and there are so many follow up appointments because of that. He wants to make sure you are taken care of and he just doesn't just take your money as he has standards. His staff are warm and kind as he hand selects them for hire. He is a perfectionist and he even got made at me when I came in for a follow up and found out I took the wrap off my stomach and taped myself up again because I felt it was coming loose but it wasn't. He would rather have you come in so his nurse can take care of it. I didn't take it personal as he was right. And yes, he has actual nurses meet with you at your follow up not techs or office help like some other places. If I could do it again, I would not have waited so long. And I would definitely choose him again.
I have had multiple surgeries with Dr. Bresnick and everyone has been a breeze. He is an outstanding Doctor and his staff is equally amazing. They are personable and caring. His work is impeccable! My original surgery was in 2004. In 2019 I had my implants changed from saline to gummy bear and had a lift as well. It was exactly what I wanted. Last year I had a facelift and it was an incredible experience! I look 20 years younger! I highly recommend Dr. B
I can not say enough good things about Dr. Bresnick and his staff. I had a wonderful experience, Dr. Bresnick is an amazing surgeon, and his staff is very friendly, professional and were always helpful and kind. They ensured I had a smooth prep, surgery, and follow-up. It’s rare to find a doctor that combines such personal touches and care for a patient as a person with outstanding quality of medical care. I highly recommend Dr. Bresnick.
Dr. Bresnick is hands down the most professional doctor I have ever met. I am young and athletic and voiced my wishes of a breast augmentation that looked as natural and fitting to my body. He nailed it. Cannot say enough good things about him.
Dr. Bresnick is an amazing and talented doctor. He did my breast augmentation in 2014 and I could not be happier with the results. He is honest about what you should expect your outcome to look like. Dr. Bresnick plays on the side of caution to ensure the health of his patients. For example, I had my first breast augmentation in early 2014 and the results were good but I wanted to increase the size. Dr. Bersnick asked that I wait three months to have a second breast augmentation. Dr. Bersnick worked with me and I was only charged for the implants and surgical center which was around $2500. I appreciate Dr. Bresnick cared more about me and my satisfaction than making money. I would highly recommend him!!!!
I am a very active 42 year old gal with 3 kids. After my 3rd my stomach never went back to normal. I met with a few doctors and picked Dr. Bresnick. I’m 6 days post surgery and I am so happy already. I was super scared to do this surgery, especially at the same time but I just went for it. The pain wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be. My Dr. was so attentive and calming and I’m so happy. I was afraid to look day two but when I glanced down my boobs were perky and perfect. My stomach also is so flat but the dr. assured me I was still swollen and it would get even better! I’m just so happy and will post all the pictures as soon as I get them!
Do you remember seeing boobies in the movies long before you ever had them? I do, at 10 years old I thought I’m going to look and touch my C-D size breast all the time. For many years I was grateful for my 36B sized breast and very adamantly did not want breast implants because I thought I would look like I had two coconuts on my chest. I work in the aesthetic industry and in the more recent years I have seen so many gorgeous natural looking breast augmentation‘s. After neurotically researching doctors in my area, I chose Dr. Stephen Bresnick (solid 5star yelp and seen his work firsthand). The end result of any beautiful breast job is a reflection of the true artistry mastered by the surgeon. Take your time looking through the Drs portfolio of before and afters. Of course I tried to select a woman of similar breast size and weight as myself to judge the overall potential outcome. I decided on the ideal implant for the Safety and peace of mind, the decision was easy however deciding on the size was not! Tips: The doctor asked me to select three images of my wish boobs. He was very honest about what I could realistically expect. The women I liked had swoop style breasts which is more easily achieved with silicone. Saline is more round and takes time to settle lower in the breast. To complicate things further I do not have a lot of skin space under my areola and between the breast crease, however it is not too little that it requires a lift. Since my choice was saline the doctor informed me that whatever range was possible to feel the implant, he would have to fill it half way in order for the implant to give the nipple a natural lift effect. Without putting this effect into place the natural roundness of the implant would have my nipple pointed towards the ground. This is the part of the consultation where I realized going with a doctor of 27 years experience is critical at spotting a problem before it becomes one. My desired breast size would be a full C small D, and the doctor ordered two different size implants and said he would put both in and pick which ever looked the fullest but the most natural. If you need guidance on how many cc will look best, I recommend trying out the rice bag test at home. There are online instructions of how much rice to fill to simulate X number of CC’s. The rice is placed in a hose tied off and Compressed around your natural breast in a thin tight fitting sports bra. It does look weird without any nipples, so I put two marbles inside the sports bra over the bags. Everyone asks if I’m nervous, but at this point I’m thinking of offering my boyfriend a Valium. Don’t wait to the last minute, I picked up my prescription meds the same day he wrote them, two weeks before the surgery day. I lined all the medications on the counter and marked them with sharpie indicating which time and how many and with which ones had to be taken with food. Everyone told me to buy certain bras from Amazon, but I’m glad I did not. My doctor has me wearing a loosefitting sports bra. Make sure to pick up all of your favorite frozen meals, protein bars, bone broth soups, stool softener, probiotics and Epson salt’s. My doctor said I could take a bath, and even though it was only half of my body it felt amazing. Updated on 5 Jun 2019: My breast before surgery 36B Rice sizer helped tremendously, allows you to feel the weight and see how a variety of your will clothes fit. 460cc felt way too big, 425cc was what looked and felt best. Updated on 5 Jun 2019: Surgery went right on schedule. Wore scrub pants, and a snap down shirt, with oversized jacket. I spoke with the nurses and anesthesiologist about how nervous my bf was, this funny banter went on for five min or so, then I remember nothing. I woke up in postop recovery feeling like I had had the best nap of my life. My chest was wrapped and I couldn’t see or peek! I asked the nurse what size and she said 405. I was a little disappointed because after our conversation this was not part of the plan in order to raise the nipple. However it wasn’t until later that day at home that I opened up my envelope and saw my card and it said that I received 435 in the left breast and 445 in the right breast. She simply stated 405 because that’s the standard size ordered before they put in the saline. I took Percocet every four hours and the pain was controlled and the extra bonus was it helped me sleep most of that day. The pressure/soreness was similar to a strong workout at the gym ( and I mean strong work out like as in haven’t worked out in a few years and you get DOMS delayed onset muscle soreness ) but very tolerable. When my bandage compression was removed the second day my breast were quite high. I expected this and I know it will take time. I fully trust my doctors advice and artistry. Updated on 6 Jun 2019: Day 7: Had another follow up Monday and the nurse showed me how to do my dressing changes and my breast massage exercises. Doing the exercises the first few days were a pain because she asked me to do 20 side presses and milk squeezes every two hours throughout the day. My breast are tight and very firm but today is Thursday and since Monday I can feel them moving much easier.I am not experiencing any pain, however the right boob starts to ache when I’m doing my exercises. It almost feels like a Charlie horse along the side of my breast near my underarm. Updated on 7 Jun 2019: Today has been one week since my surgery and I’m loving my boobs more everyday. My visit today was with the nurse to remove the sutures. This nurse has worked with the same surgeon for 10 years and fully capable of routine postoperative care and can identify things that are normal and things that are not. Thankfully my incisions are healing nicely with minimal bruising. Updated on 8 Jun 2019: I know it’s early but I’ve been dreaming of the day I can fill out a Lacey PADLESS bra. So far 36D fits best. I am so grateful to my surgeon, and his entire staff. Truly amazed and hard to believe a week ago I had barely b’s (all breast sizes are beautiful but I fantasized larger to harmonize with the rest of my body, beauty is definitely in the eye of the beholder!) Updated on 11 Jun 2019: This video gives you a quick glimpse of how to change your dressing at home. With clean hands and after a shower I will apply the antibiotic cream to the incisions. I cut two thin strips of protective gauze, and place tape on the back, and then put the dressing on each side trying to minimize the amount of tape on my skin. Updated on 12 Jun 2019: Here are some images before and after surgery. The rice bag test really helped me figure out what size I felt comfortable with and it’s interesting now to put on the same sports bra and tank top and compare the two side by side. Updated on 19 Jun 2019: Here’s a look back to where I started and where I am now (morning 19). I am very pleased with how they are softening. The bottom of the breast more dramatically, while the top is still high and firm. I do my best to do the exercises but admittedly miss the every two hour mark (sometimes it’s more like four). The ace band has been uncomfortable, feels sore pushing on the numb upper breast area. Updated on 25 Jun 2019: I don’t think my boobs ever touched while laying on my side before. I am loving my side lying cleavage! Still wearing my ace bandage to bed and keeping my incisions covered. Breast feel softer each day. When I do the massage, I can feel the bag under my skin, kinda weird. I wonder if I will always feel the bag (you can feel it more so with firm squeezes, soft breast squeezes and tissue feels natural). Updated on 28 Jun 2019: My breast are starting to settle but still have more dropping to do. They are so much softer. When I do breast massage, I no longer have to squeeze as hard with my hand, it requires a lot less effort. Updated on 16 Jan 2020: Post op 6 months. I am very happy with the size and the natural appearance of the ideal implants. I am still awaiting the return of sensation, Dr. says it may take a full year. Overall no regrets. My breast are soft, however the bag can be felt underneath both creases. Updated on 16 Jan 2020: Post op 6 months. I am very happy with the size and the natural appearance of the ideal implants. Everywhere else it feels very natural.
Dr. Bresnick and his team are truly amazing! Dr. Bresnick is very honest, funny, and cares about his patients happiness. I had a consultation for a breast augmentation in March 2018, he was very honest about the sizing my body could handle, what his concerns were, and made note of any concerns I had. I have always been deathly afraid of needles and always felt that a BA was something I'd never be able to handle, but he made the entire experience such a breeze! At every appointment I had with him, he always listened to my concerns and made me feel secure. I had my surgery in April 2018 and couldn't have imagined it would be so easy! If you are afraid of needles, please see Dr. B, he will make sure you are safe and ensure that your procedure is virtually painless. Also, his staff is so so amazing, my nurse Rosie is one of the most amazing people I have ever met and the ladies in his office are the sweetest. Dr. B has made my BA dreams come true, and I look forward to every appointment I have with him because my experience has been so amazing. Lastly, I have about 8 friends who have all gone to Dr. B for similar procedures and everyone has loved him.
Ice Packs can be helpful after breast surgery. I instruct my patients to use them to reduce swelling, but use thin insulation against the skin as to not injure the skin directly. Use ice on, and then off for a short period of time. I would ask your doctor his/her thoughts and best wishes!
When a patient develops a warm, red, and painful breast, it may be a sign of a bacterial infection. Your doctor should be called immediately.
Great news! Saline implants can last well-over 20 years! I have been in practice 23 years, and a good number of the implants I have placed in my early career still are in place and look good. Many patients, however, choose to replace their implants based on changes in their bodies, having had children and needing a lift, or developing a desire for more natural-feeling breasts. For these reasons, and not necessarily implant leakage, some patients exchange their saline implants for silicone.I tell my patients that the chance of a smooth saline implant leaking and needing replacement is under 10% at 10 years. That is not all that much higher than the chance of a silicone implant rupturing at 10 years. Interesting!
I am sorry to hear that you have concerns regarding your liposuction result performed by your doctor. Improvements can be made with revision surgery, but be careful of the claims made by plastic surgeons who believe that they can confidently make things "perfect". Getting a few opinions will be helpful. Best wishes!
Thank you for your question. It appears from your photo that you will need either an Extended Tummy Tuck or a Lower Body Lift to achieve the results that you desire. When there is major weight loss or a history of multiple pregnancies, excess skin can form beyond the abdominal area. If you desire the flank area to be tightened, the incision necessary extends beyond the inner hip bone. In this way, the loose skin on your sides can be addressed. Please consult with board-certified plastic surgeons to discuss these issues. Best wishes!
