How long should a person wait to have a "touch up" or second procedure done on the exact same area? I need more fat removed and also small bulge evened out in the inner/outer thigh area that I had done about 3 months ago. What is the minimum time frame to wait for a second procedure and is there any more or different risks if done too soon on the same area?
Revision surgery can be performed on areas of previous liposuction. The timing does vary depending on how well and fast a patient heals. Most of the swelling should have resolved prior to undergoing this surgery. I typically would wait at least three months before proceeding with revision surgery.
How often is smart lipo repeated to get close to an ideal amount of fat removed from the belly?
Smart Lipo is a great adjuvant tool in removing excess fat from the abdominal tissue. The smart lipo system combines traditional liposuction (the removal of fat via direct suctioning) with the use of a laser underneath the skin. This laser can help to remove the fat easier and can allow for greater skin retraction. Liposuction in the abdominal area can be performed circumferentially, so that the posterior hip rolls are contoured with the front side of the abdomen. This allows for a better overall contour of the abdomen.
How do conventional liposuction procedures for the hips compare with smart lipo for middle-aged patients?
Smart lipo works very well in this area. The laser allows for easier removal of fat as while as allowing for better skin retraction after the surgery. This can produce a very nice result. In certain areas, such as the posterior hip rolls, the use of smart lipo can really contour a woman's figure and allow for a smll butt lift result.
