I'm 28 years old. I've suffered with bat wings my whole life. I can never wear anything sleeveless and am extremely paranoid about my arms. I've come to the decision that surgery is the only option for me. Based on my photos is it the best option and will the scarring be worse than the bat wings? I'm desperate for help!
I think that you need a full arm lift. That includes a vertical and horizontal incision (T shaped). I would use liposuction prior to the surgical resection to make that part easier. Without a scar in your axilla and down your arm your results will be very limited.
Arm Tuck or Arm Lift for loose skin and bat wings?
Some people may use arm tuck to mean a short scar brachioplasty and arm lift to mean a regular brachioplasty. The length of the scar required really depends on the amount of loose skin and redundant fat you have. Often times the scar can be kept shorter, but the result is also then less than if a longer scar was acceptable.
