Office review - always go above and beyond

The attentive care and concern this office has shown over the last seven years that I have been with them is remarkable. They always go above and beyond to make sure their patients are happy and pleased with the results of their treatments.

Fixed a number of deformities left from a procedure I recently had done

Dr. Chao was able to fix a number of deformities of my breasts left from a procedure I recently had done. Other doctors thought they wouldn’t be able to help me, but fortunately this was not beyond Dr. Chao’s ability. He exceeded my expectations and that rarely happens.

A Work of Art

This was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The vibrant front office staff make you feel like a friend and are incredibly knowledgeable about the services offered. Becky is incredible. Her work is truly art and her down to earth personality makes you feel so comfortable! I’ve been to several different surgeons in the area but nothing tops this experience. I’ll never go anywhere else!

Becky is amazing!

Becky is amazing! In fact, so is everyone else in that office. I am so incredibly happy with my results. She took her time with me, and it meant the world to me. I had my face and lower body done on the same day and hours into the procedure she even fed me. Honestly she has the best heart and is so knowledgeable. She the best person by your side during all of it. Thank you so much!!

After a Years Wait...

Over a year ago I started my journey to look for a Plastic surgeon. You see, I had lost almost 60 lbs, and there it was, this shelf of skin and fat that no diet or exercise could ever get rid of. I felt I owed it to myself to look into getting it removed. My sister-in-law recommended going to the Real Self website to find Plastic surgeons in my area. After searching for 5-star surgeons. I...

3 Q&A

Q: After how many weeks can I undergo Ultherapy after liposuction of the neck? (photos)
Answered by Dr. ChaoApril 4, 2017

A: With liposuction of the neck, the skin will tighten somewhat depending on the patient. 3 weeks is not enough time to realize that tightening effect. In terms of when it would be appropriate to start Ultherapy, greater than 3 months from the liposuction would be the most ideal time period. Swelling from liposuction could last more than 3-6 months from the surgery, so the later the better. Of course, you should consult with your plastic surgeon, as he or she might have protocols which would allow for earlier treatment with Ultherapy after liposuction. Good luck!

Q: 3 Months post liposuction: is swelling, bruising, and hardening normal in thighs?
Answered by Dr. ChaoMarch 18, 2014

A: This is a tough question to answer without actually seeing you. Yes, swelling and hardening can be normal for many months after liposuction. It can be caused by many things. Sometimes continuing the garment and massage of the hardened area can be helpful. The bruising is a less usual thing at this point after surgery. Sometimes this can be the sign of some bleeding (as can swelling and hardening). We call this a hematoma, but 3 months after liposuction it would very unusual to have spontaneous bleeding from the liposuction surgery.

Q: All Transplanted Hair Fall off 10 Days Post Op?
Answered by Dr. ChaoOctober 15, 2013

A: In my practice, we instruct our patients to not rub the newly placed grafts for a minimum of 2 weeks. The most that should be done is to let water run over the transplants. In your case, it is possible that follicular units were rubbed away, but there is a good chance you only removed scabs and the shaft and that you did not disturb the grafts themselves. The only thing you can do at this point is to wait. Eyebrow make-up at 2 weeks post-op is permissible for our patients, but I would ask your physician before proceeding.
