My journey began when I was only 11 years old. I'd been scrolling through social media, looking mostly at artwork of my favorite games and shows, when I came across the word "transgender" for the first time. My curiosity compelled me to search for the word's definition on Google: A person whose gender identity is different from the sex they were assigned at birth... I remember gasping sharply and exclaiming to no one else, "That's me!" It was as if someone had finally given me the language I needed to describe the internal feelings I'd been struggling with for most of my life.

Naturally, this revelation did not come without complications. I remember the visceral discomfort I felt with the way that my body was developing at the time. I remember the shirts that I loved being discarded because they'd show bra straps, and I remember wearing two sports bras at a time throughout my youth just to make the awkward jut of my chest less noticable. Clothes needed to be baggier to hide my form, and it was often better if I did not leave the house at all for fear of how I would be perceived.

Slowly, over the years, I began to come out to those close to me. It started with trying out new names and then new pronouns. It didn't take long until everyone seemed to forget what I used to go by and readily accepted for who I am. A legal name change was an incredible leap towards making the rest of the world see me that way too. But there was still one glaring issue: the dysphoria I felt with my body.

After speaking with a therapist who specializes in LGBTQ+ health concerns, I was given a list of recommended surgeons to inquire with about receiving top surgery. Dr. Rockmore was one of the names on that list, and after doing a bit of research, I found great comfort in the inclusive way his website was formatted and the gorgeous before-and-after photos of other trans folk who sought his help. An appointment was made, and soon enough, I was able to meet with Dr. Rockmore in person.

The warmth and friendlessness with which he greeted me was a pleasant surprise. It was easy to tell that he genuinely cared about who I was as a person and what I needed to do to finally feel like myself. He was incredibly respectful of my pronouns and identity. He asked all the right questions and made sure that I was making an informed decision. At the same time, he was both encouraging and supportive of this next step in my journey.

When the day of my surgery arrived, all I could feel was the thrum of excitement. It was difficult to keep the smile off of my face as I sat in the waiting room. Dr. Rockmore and all of the individuals who worked with him continued to be kind and respectful throughout the process, and they weren't afraid to crack jokes to put me more at ease too. It felt as though I was surrounded by new friends who truly wanted the best for me and were willing to do whatever they could to help me reach my goals.

Afterwards, as my mother fondly recalls, I looked down at my new chest and said, "I look like me."

Incredibly, I didn't have any pain following my surgery, and while it wasn't entirely pleasant to sleep sitting up during this time, I recovered with an immense amount of joy and gender euphoria. Over the following months, my scars healed beautifully and the sensation returned to my chest. Although I had little "dog ears" on either side, Dr. Rockmore was more than happy to fix those up in a brief additional procedure that required only localized anesthetic. With just a few extra stitches, I was given an even more wonderfully sculpted chest just in time for the summer.

My experience with Dr. Rockmore could not have been any better. It was amazing from beginning to end. I felt truly seen and understood by everyone in his office, and I couldn't be happier with the results. Dr. Rockmore has genuinely changed my life for the better. Without a doubt, I would recommend him to anyone searching for a surgeon who is equally skilled and compassionate. It's remarkable having a surgeon who can manage to be both, and it makes the entire journey more meaningful.

I have been seeing Dr. Rockmore for years. He and his staff are extremely talented and never ever try to sell you/push you into anything.

I have had my Breasts done along with lipo as well as various injections and laser treatments over the years. I highly recommend this practice.

Dr. Rockmore is amazing.

His technical skills - his understanding of aesthetics - his genuine interest in truly listening and spending time with his patients to make sure the surgical outcome exceeds all expectations. His work looks so natural - I’m only a few months out from surgery and all my incisions were so neat and have healed so well already. He spent a lot of time talking with me, trying to determine exactly what suited me best when I honestly didn’t really know for myself. In the end, I was confident he knew what I was going for and left the details up to him and his expertise. He did not disappoint. I am absolutely thrilled with the outcome and everything about this experience.

I went in wanting implants after I had my daughter and breast fed for 7 months. I also am about 40-50 lbs less than I was pre-pregnancy. I had very minimal breast volume left. Dr . Rockmore told me I would also need a lift. I left my deposit that day, which I think the minimum is $200? I paid for 1/4 of the surgery cost. During my consultation I got to try on different sizers. It was hard to make a decision. The staff was so accommodating to me and let me come back in on a separate day to retry them on. I made sure to bring different shirts, a sweater and a sweatshirt with me!

On the day of my surgery, I was a little nervous but I was ready to go. I had to arrive by 7:15am. The surgery center was quiet, which I really liked going that early. Everyone was very nice. The nurse got my IV on the first attempt and they were all very sweet to me. Even when I was being wheeled to the operating room, every staff member I went by said hi to me. When I got to the OR, I got nervous as I had previously dealt with a lot of PTSD from my emergency c section. The nurse came over to talk with me. I BLINKED and I was in recovery! It was SO weird. I liked that they didn’t have to put that thing over my face for me to fall asleep. It was all through my IV. The staff helped me get dressed and out to the car. A few days later they called to check on me.
I had my first post op a week after and had a couple of my stitches trimmed which did hurt a bit but wasn’t a problem. My next appointment is 3 months.

I am almost 10 weeks post surgery. My implants have certainly dropped and they no longer feel like they’re in my collar bones. I can pretty much do everyday to day activity I was before (excluding lifting dumbbells) but I take caution when pushing or pulling something.

I had the most amazing experience getting a breast augmentation done by Dr. Rockmore and his incredible team. He had this philosophy of making it look like he was never there, and let me tell you, he totally knocked it out of the park. Him and his team made me feel so comfortable and reassured me that they had my best interests at heart. Dr. Rockmore himself took the time to listen to all my concerns, hopes, and expectations. He truly understood my vision and was determined to make it a reality. I can't help but feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude towards Dr. Rockmore. He not only met my expectations but exceeded them. My new breasts look and feel natural, enhancing my overall body contour and boosting my self-confidence to new heights. Dr. Rockmore's ability to make it look like he was never there is truly remarkable. He has made a significant positive impact on my life, and I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone considering plastic surgery. Dr. Rockmore is a true professional who will go above and beyond to ensure your dreams become a reality.

I initially found Dr. Rockmore’s website page about 2 years ago when I first started looking into rhinoplasty surgery. Of all the surgeons’ websites I had browsed his was by far the most organized and professional looking and this lead me to schedule a consultation with him. During my consultation he answered every question I had, helped me set realistic expectations, and really tried to understand what I wanted the final result to look like. I had surgery in December 2022 and it was a very smooth process. I met with Dr. Rockmore before going into the OR and he went over how the procedure would go and he told me he saw the inspiration pictures I had posted on my account. My recovery was quite smooth and the only really bad part was waking up from anesthesia. The experience wasn’t painful it was just uncomfortable to not be able to breathe through my nose. After six day I had my cast and stitches removed and this was a fairly quick process with a limited amount of pain. Even though my nose was very swollen I was already amazed by the results, especially in my side profile. I had specifically asked to make sure that I still looked like myself but with just less of a bump on my nose and a thinner tip. I am now 3 months out and still the tip is a bit stiff but so much of the swelling has gone down and I love my new nose. I have almost forgotten what my precious one looked like! Dr. Rockmore is extremely skilled, has excellent bedside manner, and was able to deliver results that exceeded my expectations. His staff is also wonderful to work with. If I had any questions I was always able to find an answer when I called his office. I had some last minute issues with documents I had to have ready before the surgery and they went out of their way to help me get everything in order. I would highly recommend Dr. Rockmore to anyone looking for a surgeon who will pay attention to detail and work with you as a team!

Freaking amazing. His work is the work of a God. Down to every detail, he has sculpted my nose to perfection. He is extremely knowledgeable And just a overall great person. I knew immediately that I was in good hands.I look gorgeous now after my rhinoplasty!

I had an abdomen procedure by Dr Rockmore in November. Dr Rockmore and his staff were very professional and responsive to questions and post recovery care. The recovery wasn’t easy,, but Dr Rockmore and staff made it much easier to get through. I’m so happy I went with a friends recommendation. The results are better than expected.

Dr. Rockmore performed breast reduction surgery for me three months ago, and I am beyond thrilled with the results! I've seen him in the past for smaller procedures too, and every single time, he is patient with me, compassionate, obviously very knowledgeable, honest, and happy to answer any and ALL of my many questions. His office is beautiful (feels like I'm in a luxury spa or hotel) and his staff is absolutely wonderful. He is the ONLY plastic surgeon I will ever see. Would trust him with my life!
