Okay, I want to know if it's possible to give me a mini tummy tuck w/ umbilicoplasty without touching my muscles??? I have one or two stretch marks nothing major and my c section scar doesn't look bad at all. I work-out 5 days a week and am very fit. I am looking to have the little bit of extra skin removed in the lower abdomen and if possible my belly button moved to fix the indent above it? I don't mind if the incision is larger than my c-section.
It appears as though you're an exellent candidate for a mini-tummy tuck with contouring of your umbilicus. Your muscles won't need to be tightened with this procedure.
I had my sugery almost a year ago. The surgeon said he went above my belly button to tighten the muscles and also below the bb. He commented twice that I had alot of muscle in my abdomen. My abdomen used to be somewhat flat with just a tiny bit of loose skin right above my c section. That is why I opted for the mini tt. Now my abdomen protrudes out when you look at it from the side. I thought that a mini was tightening below the bb and removal of some extra skin. Why does it look worse now?
After your surgery, you may have "popped" some sutures or experienced re-separation fo the muscles. A revision tummy tuck will be needed to re-tighten the abdominal muscles.
I'm planning on having a mini tuck and my PS explained that he doesnt use drains. He wants me to visit him once a week for drainage. Is this common??
After a standard tummy tuck, drains are frequently used. However, a mini-tummy tuck involves removal of less skin so drains may or may not be required.
