How to Get a Latisse Prescription

I read that you have to have a prescription to get the Latisse eyelash growth stuff, but will a doctor give it to anybody?  Can I just walk in and ask for the Latisse, or would I have to "qualify" somehow to be given a prescription (eyelashes less than a millimeter long) or something?

A: Latisse should be obtained from your doctor's office

Latisse should be obtained from your doctor's office. It does contain an active medical ingredient, and patients should be properly informed about its content and use by their physician.

Will Latisse Change Eye Color?

If I have light blue eyes, will Latisse turn my irises brown?

A: Latisse and Blue Eyes

I have hundreds of patients currently using Latisse and none has experienced darkening of the iris (brown color) when they have blue or green eyes. This side effect has actually been reported as a very rare occurrence when using Lumigan eye drops for glaucoma; in that case the drops are put directly in the eyes, as opposed to the mode of application of Latisse, which is externally on the rim of the eyelid/eyelashes.

Can Timoptic (Timolol) Be Used Instead of Latiisse and Would the Same Effect on Lash Grow

Can Timoptic  (Timolol) Be Used Instead of Latiisse and Would the Same Effect on Lash Grow

A: Latisse is FDA approved for eyelash growth, not Timoptic.

Latisse is FDA approved for eyelash growth, not Timoptic. My recommendation is to stay safe and use the effective dose and formulation! for eyelash growth that is in Latisse.
