Is there a way to have minor liposuction on my chin with a fast recovery time? I'm a busy guy, so I don't have time to hand around waiting for a cosmetic procedure to heal, so if there is a way to recover faster than average that would be best.
The reality is that there's not magic bullet when it comes to healing after liposuction. If you want to get good results then you need to do an adequate procedure which calls for some healing. However, healing after chin liposuction isn't particularly rough. You'll be looking and about 4 to 5 days of fullness and tenderness. It is possible to have some bruising which would be the most noticeable sign of having had a the procedure performed. You're fine to going out in about 5 days. Have it done on Thursday or Friday and go to work on Monday or Tuesday.
You can take Arnica Montana before and after the procedure and eat Kiwi a few times a day after helps.
What you will have to wait on is the final result. About a week after the procedure you may only see a mild improvement. What you'll find is that with each passing week your chin and neck looks better and better. It's a great evolution.
Best of luck

What risks are there for people with diabetes having chin liposuction?
I wouldn't say that your recovery would be much different than a patient without diabetes. You may be at a slightly increased risk for infection so you may want to start antibiotics the day before. The question your really need to review with your surgeon is how well controlled is your diabetes? If it's marginal to poorly controlled you may experience some increased healing time. Best of luck. hi, i had a pretty mild case of double chin and underwent double chin liposuction 1 month ago. however, i did not use the compression cloths like the doctor instructed, and now i have slightly loose skin. will it remedy itself in time, or should i seek treatments?
In the first few months after chin liposuction the appearance of loose skin can happen. You'd be surprised at how much change you'll see over a 3 to 6 month period. Be patient, if you still have this issue after that time frame then consult your surgeon about a face/neck lift. Best of luck. Chase Lay, MD
