A True Master of His Craft

Absolutely amazing! Dr. Ransom is a Scholar and an Artist. I am 2 months post op from a lower face and neck lift, as well as a lower bleph and fat transfer. My results are flawless and incredibly natural. My suture line is as thin as a thread and will be invisible shortly. I could not be more pleased with my results. In addition to his impeccable work, he is a kind and warm person. He has...

Incredibly Skilled Surgeon, Truly an Artist!

I had a deep plane facelift, necklift, browlift, upper bleph and CO2 under my eyes and around my mouth on October 31, 2023. Although I am only 7 weeks out, I wanted to leave a review about my experience so far. I am 62 years old, eat healthy - am a vegetarian, exercise daily, and have always felt like I looked great for my age. But for the last few years the wrinkles, jowling, general sagging...

I am a very happy customer.

My jawline is redefined and I have a more contoured appearance

I came for a face lift. I never had any plastic surgery in my life and didn't really know what to expect, but my close friend had gone to dr Ransom before and had amazing results. I asked for specific things. Doctor Ransom listened and gave optimal results. My jawline is redefined and I have smoother and more contoured appearance. It looks very natural. People give me complements but they...

I'm very pleased with my results

Dr. Ransom and his staff were great! Dr. Ransom was very warm and receptive during my consultation. From the front desk staff to his assistants, all were gracious and helpful throughout the process. His assistants were caring, positive and supportive during and after the procedure knowing the angst and concerns faced by patients. And of course, Dr. Ransom's surgical skills were stellar. ...

Q: Can I get a nose job and completely change my side profile but keep my the front of my nose looking the same? (photos)
Answered by Dr. RansomOctober 4, 2021

A: Thank you for writing and sharing your pictures. It is possible to change the profile, particularly the upper 2/3 of the nose, with minimal change to the tip of the nose. In your comments, however, you mention making the tip smaller. Obviously this will change the tip shape a little in all views. The most important thing to remember in rhinoplasty is that each part of the nose relates to the other parts -- so lowering the bridge will change how you see the tip. In some cases, the tip shape should be changed to match the height and width of the bridge after reducing a hump. Best of luck moving forward!

Q: Can I still have forehead reduction surgery with a widows peak? (photo)
Answered by Dr. RansomJune 29, 2021

A: Hi there! Thanks for the great question and your photo. Yes, you can have hairline lowering surgery with a small widow's peak like I see in the photo. The key thing for hairline lowering (a.k.a. forehead reduction) is that most of the need for hair coverage should be in the central forehead rather than the temples. If you needed additional coverage after the lowering procedure, a small amount of hair grafts can be used to fill in or add density. Best of luck moving forward!

Q: Can I change the shape of my forehead with a forehead reduction? (Photos)
Answered by Dr. RansomJune 29, 2021

A: Thank you for the question and your photos. Hairline lowering surgery may be a good option for you, but the decision would depend on measurements of your forehead and test of scalp mobility. An ideal female forehead height, for a woman of average stature, would be about 6.5-7cm. If yours is within 2cm of this measurement, the scalp could be advanced to give you an improvement in symmetry and shape. Another option would be FUE hair transplantation. The grafts could be selectively placed to even out the hairline height difference. Best of luck moving forward!

Q: I have high blood pressure and want to get chin liposuction and buccal fat removal. Will I have any complications?
Answered by Dr. RansomApril 12, 2021

A: Thank you for the question. Blood pressure management is important after face and neck surgery, including liposuction. Increased blood pressure can lead to an increased risk of bleeding under the skin or persistent fluid collection (seroma) during healing. Keeping your pressure in a normal range is important for achieving the results you're looking for. A visit with your primary doctor to make sure your medication is working well would be prudent before proceeding.

Q: How to choose a surgeon for a rhinoplasty when they gave you two different procedure options?
Answered by Dr. RansomFebruary 22, 2021

A: Thank you for the great question and the photos. It seems like neither of the consultation experiences that you had were ideal. It is important to have a good relationship with your surgeon and to feel comfortable about the details and goals of the procedure beforehand. Without an in-person examination, I can't give specific, detailed advice. However, here are two thoughts: 1) 45 minutes is not enough time to do a good, thoughtful rhinoplasty regardless of approach; 2) the type of changes that your nose may need, based on the photos, are best dealt with (IMHO) with an open approach. So, in summary, I think you should seek another consultation. Best of luck moving forward!
