Everything about my experience with Dr Maas qualifies for the 5star rating. The office is comfortable, the staff are professional and Dr Maas is an expert in the field. The Botox injections were perfect - no bruises and very natural looking. As an incentive for posting a review, this reviewer received an entry into RealSelf’s monthly $500 gift card giveaway.
I feel like I tried everything under the sun to try and resolve my long-standing acne scars. I’ve done the e matrix laser, aggressive pixel lasering, and I’ve done a bunch of clear and brilliant. Since meeting Dr Maas, I realize that Deep and Active is the way to go. During the procedure he marks individual scars he wants to focus on and uses the laser to pull down the shoulders of bathtub scars so they become less visible. I love that he’s so scientific and also offers a lot of attention to detail. We’ll see how it goes! Updated on 20 Apr 2022: Day two and my face looks crazier than it did yesterday. Absolutely horrifying! It doesn’t hurt but I feel so uncomfortable, and sleeping was a challenge. Looking forward to seeing this pass in a week or so… Updated on 24 Apr 2022: It’s now day 5/6 and I can finally sleep a little more comfortably, my skin feels less tight and most of the scabs have come off. Just wanted to share this process since I couldn’t find any information online on what to expect in the days following an aggressive DeepFX/ActiveFX treatment for acne scars. My face has looked absolutely TERRIFYING but honestly it hasn’t hurt - just felt extremely uncomfortable. I’m looking forward to seeing how my face looks next weekend (I’ll be going out of the house again - with a big hat and lots of sunscreen lol).
1997 is the first time I had a procedure done by Dr. Maas. As an esthetician and RN, it doesn't get any better than Dr. Maas. He has maintained his integrity, treats every visit like the first time, he has an integrity and code that has not lessened or weakened. He is a superstar in his field and a dedicated researcher.
Dr Maas is one of the most compassionate and skilled cosmetic surgeons I’ve ever been to. His attention to detail and natural aesthetic combined with decades of experience helps address any concerns. I couldn’t help but read the negative reviews m, and after carefully reading these patients on other websites have posted other cosmetic procedures not done by Dt. Maas and their unhappiness. This leads me to believe that there will be those with unrealistic expectations that you can never please no matter how hard you try. I had disfiguring cellulite despite being thin and exercise. My results w/ kybella have greatly improved my condition. It’s not perfect but Dr. Maas was honest and did improve the area vastly. He also did completely get rid of all my face wrinkles w/ Botox fillers and it looks very natural. Don’t be dissuaded by the negative reviews if you have realistic expectations. He will exceed your expectations and yield a natural result. I highly recommend Dr. Maas.
I am a mega fan of Dr. Cory Mass! He’s been my aesthetic doctor for over a decade, and just recently I had upper and lower eye lid surgery. The outcome is phenomenal ~ I am overwhelmed with happiness about my results! In my mind, there is no more capable or skillful doctor, he exceeds my expectations EVERY TIME- He is a master at his craft, bringing out natural beauty through clinical and surgical technique.
I was diagnosed with Sjögren’s syndrome in 2014 mostly because of jaw pain and swelling of my salivary glands. I was trying to treat them the best I could with massage and heat but nothing was improving. I would only see improvements if I took a taper does of prednisone , but that was something I couldn’t take long term. I remembered Dr Corey Maas telling me that Botox in the salivary glands can shrink them. Fast forward to May 2018 & I finally go in to get them done. By this time I had moved back down to SLO but was not going to have anyone else do this procedure. He started off with a small amount injecting all the glands and also my jaw (TMJ). Within a week I was starting to look like my old self again. However I noticed that when I was getting close to my menstrual cycle I would have a bit of a flare. It would go away after a few days. I still have some inflammation & I’m thinking of making an appt in September/October for more. I think I could go a bit stronger & possibly more frequently to get me back to where I once was. Dr. Maas is amazing. I’m forever grateful that he takes the time to see me and do a procedure all of the doctors in my area refuse to do. Thanks Dr. Maas
I have a couple of very fine lines on the left side of my face. Dr. Maas filled them for me - in a way that you cannot tell that it was done. It is PERFECT, doesn't look different than the other side of my face, isn't puffy, bulgy, etc. It is so perfect - looks completely natural and no one can tell that it was done on the left side of my face. He is so excellent!
i was SO excited when i heard about kybella. there is a plastic surgeon in the building where i work and i asked him about a neck lift or face lift or something for my gross double chin and he told me to wait a few months because a new drug was coming out that would dissolve fat. i waited and did my research on the different doctors that would offer it. i decided not to go with that particular doctor because i found someone who had worked on the clinical trials. so i made an appointment for a consultation and after sitting in the waiting room for 2 HOURS i finally met with the doctor. he said i was a perfect candidate. i made an appt and when the time came i again waited almost 2 HOURS in the waiting room before being seen. the procedure itself stung pretty badly but i was excited for the results. its now june 2016 and this was done last year in september 2015 but from what i remember i bruised quite a bit (but i bruise easily anyway) and was pretty swollen. no results :-( i went back again for a second round. this time he used even more kybella. still no results. i went back and he said i was just still swollen. really? still swollen after a few months? i dont think so. its now been 9 months since my first injection and 8 months since the second injection and i still see absolutely no results. very disappointed. Updated on 3 Nov 2016: the office contacted me after hearing i didnt think it was worth it and offered a free session. i just went today. very very nice of them. i will keep you posted
Dr. Maas injected botox into my forehead area and I was extremely pleased with the results! My forehead looked very natural afterwards and that is exactly what I was hoping for. I was numbed up prior to the procedure and there was no pain during the injection. I am so excited for my next appointment! Dr. Maas is the best!
Needed to fight aging. Needed more youthful appearance, to match my personality. I had two different procedures on the face. Hugely successful. Basically, Dr. Maas changed my life for the better 1000%. The consultation was very helpful. Both procedures went exactly as Dr. Maas described, done in his office. No problems. Aftercare terrific. Results continue to be fabulous, after three years.
There are several options available to you at age 42 that may be considered, all FDA approved. Sofwav, Utherapy, maybe Kybella or Coolsculpting and even loliposuction under the chin (submental lipo) could work but on your photos, it looks more like a predominate skin problem (not fat). You need to see a surgeon to give you all of your options, show what each might provide, so that you can make an informed decision.
In your case their may be problem but generally the healing and changes are not over until one year. I suggest you to be forthright about the appearance of your nose relative to the features you wanted. Tell the surgeon how you feel. Your surgeon has recorded your desired appearance in your chart and/or with photo morphing (changing your nose to on the computer). In my experience (over 3000 nose surgeries) about 1/3 of those revision rhinoplasties. When they come to me right after surgery, patients are frustrated if 1) the desired result was not achieved as recorded before the surgery, there is an undesirable result with bumps or asymmetries AND 3) the surgeon disagrees with the patient on the outcome. Have the surgeon show you before the before and after results or read the goals to you. If your surgeon agrees and asks you to wait and reassures you that they will do their best to achieve a result AND you trust the your surgeon, then you should listen and wait. If your surgeon is unable “to see” your concern or tells you it is what you wanted and it is clearly not a desirable result, you would be justified in seeking a second opinion. Remember, this will cost you more money, and only your surgeon has seen and understands your anatomy…still you have to trust your surgeon if a revision is being considered.
From the limited views you have provided, top refinement including improving a hanging infratip lobule and refining the tip would be helpful. You might consider updating your submission with a lateral view.
He simplest and most reliable way to fix this is to have a good surgeon use a drop of local then a moderate sized needle to poke and express the excess material.
Unfortunately there is not a simple answer to your question. It will depend on how many times treated, presence or absence of scar tissue, and which filler was used…the last being most important. Depending upon what was used and where, most patients will be able to get this resolved without surgery. Based on your lip anatomy, a lip lift would be a much better and more suitable long term option after the visible filler and/or scar tissue is managed. is
