I just started using Latisse and had a genital herpes outbreak around the same time (I haven't had an outbreak in 2 years). Are they correlated? or is it just coincidence?
There are several things that cause cause a genital herpes outbreak, but latisse is not one of them. Typical triggers include: illness, stress, hormonal changes, ultraviolet light, trauma to the skin.
As your lashes fall out and regrow, will the Latisse be necessary or is the 12 weeks all that is ever required?
Latisse only works while you are using it. After you stop, your lashes will return to their pre-Latisse thickness and length. The reason is that latisse increases the duration of the hair cycle. The eyelashes grow longer, and they spend more time in the growing phase of the hair cycle. However, once you stop your latisse, the eyelashes resume their normal hair cycle.
Once you have the results you want, you can try to make your product last longer by using it every other day. This works for some people.
