It seems most at home whitening kits say to not use them immediately after brushing your teeth. However, of course I want my teeth clean before I bleach so I get the best & most even result possible. How long does a person need to wait after brushing to start their whitening?
I don't think you need to wait too long after brushing before you whiten. You're right it's important that your teeth are clean. I believe, you can whiten within minutes after brushing as long as you rinse very well, to get all the toothpaste off of your teeth. Good Luck!
I have heard of deep bleaching. What is the difference between it and other forms of tooth whitening?
I believe you are referring to the Kor Whitening Deep Bleaching System. It’s a very advanced whitening system that involves several visits. It might be the best system on the market. The Rolls-Royce of whitening, it lightens your teeth. Expect it to cost between $800-$1,000.
In our office we mostly perform Zoom! Whitening which removes the stain from the enamel and brings out your natural tooth color. People who have heavy cigareete or coffee stain generally get amazing results. People without much stain get ok results. The procedure is performed in 1 visit. Good Luck!
Had Beyond laser whitening. Only achieved 3-4 shades, the dentist gave me at home trays with 6% solution to help get a few more shades gradually. Told after the laser treatment not to eat staining foods for 24 hours.I have used it 2nights now & teeth definately look brighter but I have run out of white food in the house and ate some natural peanutbutter & cerlery as a snack 1/2hr ago. Is peanutbutter a no no after whitening? & is waiting 24hrs b4 staining food the rule for the at home tray too?
Immediately after whitening your teeth are more sensitive to staining. If you eat something that stains your teeth (i.e. peanut butter) just try to brush your teeth soon afterwards. The first 48 hours after whitening are most critical. But I believe your teeth are more prone to staining for the first two weeks. Nobody is perfect, so just brush your teeth soon after eating something that stains your teeth. Remember to drink anything that stains through a straw. Good Luck!
