Exceptional as Always. I had an implant put in last week but the process started 1 yr ago. Dr. Patricia Moezinia and Dr. Bagga treated me with care and calmed my concerns. The road was long but I was delighted with the results.

Dr Patricia was fabulous! I went in for a regular clean and had inquired about some spaces between my teeth. She educated me on the options and within a week I had an appointment to get my veneers. Dr Patricia and her team were extremely thorough throughout the process, and made sure I was always as comfortable as possible. My veneers look natural and I couldn’t be happier!

After having adult braces for two years and two budget crowns put on 2 teeth I still really hated my smile. I have a small mouth and grew adult teeth that weren’t much larger than my baby teeth, plus very large gaps between each tooth. After the braces and crowns on the two teeth, I had metal bars put behind my top and bottom front teeth because even when wearing a retainer at night the teeth wanted to go back to their original gap-tooth spacing.

When I smiled you pretty much couldn’t see my teeth, so I looked like a human version of a muppet. I figured that I could eventually afford to pay for veneers if I saved up for a while, so I wanted to see what was out there.

I spend a large part of my procedure research on RealSelf.com and I came across the alternate procedure for porcelain veneers called DURAthin veneers. Thinner than traditional veneers they were also apparently a much more affordable option .

The main explanatory website for DURAthin veneers listed ‘Empower Your Smile’, Dr. Patricia Moezinia’s dental practice in Manhattan so I booked a consultation.



Dr. Moezinia and her assistant were very thorough with their consultation and following dental cleaning. When I asked about DURAthin veneers she countered that thinner didn’t necessarily mean better. Because my teeth are very small it was determined that crowns made more sense than veneers (think that veneers are like a tiara on the tooth, only face front. While a crown is like the crown for the head: all encompassing and 360.)

During the same appointment alginate and resin molds and X-rays were done, along with 3-D scans of my teeth using a wand.



Now here’s the catch, I went into this hoping I could afford perhaps $8K at max - but the entire procedure for crowns on the top center 8 teeth ended up being closer to $16K+. It took me 23-24 weeks to earn the money between my first consultation visit in early November 2021 - to mid April 2022 when we began working on the teeth. But the expression “you get what you pay for” is absolutely true and my smile now was worth every cent.



As preparation for the crowns three rounds of laser teeth whitening (lasting about 15 minutes each) were done in office. One fact that I didn’t see much online regarding laser teeth whitening was that it STINGS. Granted, I have gum/teeth sensitivity anyway but you can feel the roots of all your teeth stinging while undergoing the procedure.

A resin copy of the teeth were put on during a later appointment while the official crowns based on the molds made were being created out-of-office.



I was warned to not eat/chew anything hard because of the fragility of the temporary resin teeth. She wasn’t kidding: within two days a Macro brand granola bar cracked the temporary resin teeth horizontally. Dr. Moezinia was super accommodating, making herself available for me to come in to put on most of the final crowns on, which had arrived that day. She and her dental assistant stayed hours after close to make sure I had teeth in my mouth.



As a big needle-phobe, I have to say Dr. Moezinia has an incredible hand when injecting novocaine into the gums before working on the teeth. My only complaint during the application of the teeth was the level of noise from the electric dental tools, because when they’re inside your mouth it’s almost impossible to drown out the frightening sounds associated with dental nightmares.



Corinne Agman RN came into the office and did Botox injections in six points along my top lip, that way when I smiled my upper lip didn’t completely shrink when smiling.



Dr. Moezinia is INCREDIBLY thorough with every step of the process; adjusting the teeth, the fit, the placement of your jaws as you bite down with you new teeth. Two crowns had to be remade as they didn’t fit during our first installment of the final teeth. During the appointment when the last two top teeth were put in, placement of where the jaws meet was modified so it would be comfortable. Molds for a night guard were taken (I grind my teeth) and one more appointment was booked to finesse jaw placement. The right side of my mouth was still partially numb from novocaine thus it being impossible to tell how accurate it was when I bit down.



Now that I have these amazing teeth I need to learn how to smile. It was so hard to picture the final result, I wasn’t aware my own teeth and jaw were too small for my head until coming to Empower Your Smile. When being photographed with the final results… I could feel my upper lip muscles twitching from trying to smile. After years of being ashamed of my teeth I didn’t have the muscle strength to smile and it resulted in an uncomfortable grimace. But that’s for me to work on and I’m so happy with the results.

My confidence now is 100x fold!

In all truthfulness, Dr. Moezinia may be the most talented, most creative, and most patient-considerate medical provider I have ever encountered. Her skills are extraordinary, and her consideration of and respect for her patients' concerns (as well as needs) are exceptional. Whether one goes to Dr. Moezinia for veneers, for a filling, or even for a routine cleaning, the results are stunning. She always takes the time to consult with the patient so that both arrive at a solution that is most appropriate. And then she executes the procedure with consummate skill. In every regard and at every occasion, I have been exuberant with the results: perfect veneers, the ideal filling (or replacement of a damaged filling), and a smile that is more than physical -- but is a perfect reflection of genuine satisfaction and admiration.

I have wanted a smile makeover for years, but never met a dentist I trusted with the task. That changed completely when I met Patricia.

As soon as I walked in, I felt comfortable. The space is as stylish as Patricia, yet also completely welcoming. It's everything I would hope for in a Tribeca dentist, and with Patricia I didn't hesitant for a second to talk about needing to consult husband, my concerns about the procedures, finances, or anything. It feels okay to put everything on the table with Patricia.

The actual work speaks for itself. Patricia knew exactly what I wanted, took all the right steps, and made sure I was comfortable throughout the process. Nothing is half-assed here–it's detailed, personal, and outstanding. I am only halfway through but already so thrilled with the results and my self-esteem is through the roof.
