Why are you required to stop using them days before a chemical peel is performed. I am going to perform a 15% TCA Peel on my face. I am indian and of light brown skin. I have already performed a TCA peel once. I have been using Tretinoin always before a peel to prep my skin for it. I just want to know why we are required to stop.
Tretinion can be used for skin care except a few days before a chemical peel and during the healing process. What concerns me is your use of unsupervised TCA on your face. I am Pakistani (light brown skin) like you. I would not allow my Indian or Pakistani patients to use TCA on their own. Please be very careful and better yet let a physician do it for you.

I don't know which cosmetic procedures I can have, if any, because I have lupus. I've been on remission for 7 years. Also, I never had cutaneous symptoms while my lupus was active. Is there a high risk for me with a chemical peel? If it's safe, which is the deepest peel that I could get (superficial, medium?) I know It would be better to have an apointment with a dermatologist, but I would rather spare my money if I can't have any cosmetic procedure anyway.
You are better off getting only superficial peels. A medium or deep peel will be too risky for you. You can get very good results with superficial peels combined with regular skin care. Superficial peels inlcude glycolic acid, salicylic acid, lactic acid, 10% TCA.

I am a Black Caribbean, and I'm wanting to know if Chemical Peel would work for me and if so what type?
I am dark skinned with really dark lines under and around me eyes which cause a patchy effect. I use camouflage cream at the moment to blend the dark patches to the colour of my complection.
Not a good idea. The risks of a chemical peel increase in Black skin.
YOu should instead use strict sun protection, quality skin care and prescription bleaching cream like Triluma.
