Do I Need a Binder and Garment After Vaser? I had combo of Vaser/Smartlipo on my U/L Abs 10/21. Today was my 1st postop and my surgeon was upset that I was not still wearing my garment, binder and the foam sheet. The post op nurse told me to wear it all for the 1st week, then just wear my comp garment, which I have lived in. I think my results are great so far by he insists I now need to wear them all until swelling is gone. I am wondering if it is worth itsince i am 3.5 wk out. I think my results are great so far. Suggestions?

A: Compression and Binder after Vaser Liposuction

In most cases, 2 weeks of compression is fine after liposuction. However, it would be best to follow your own plastic surgeon's advise on this.

Anesthetic Wears off During VASER Liposelection Procedure The anesthetic wore off during the VASER Liposelection procedure, so the doctor stopped using the suction due to pain. He only withdrew 600CC. Does this happen in most VASER Liposelection procedures?

A: Plan well

That you experienced pain during your procedure has little to do with Vaser and allot to do with your doctor not planning the operation well. If they omitted areas that you felt were to be treated, you have a legitimate gripe. Perhaps you should consult with someone who has more experience and knowledge.

Ab etching can be done with conventional techniques, Vaser, the proprietary Vaser high definition, or any other technique. I prefer Vaser. Marketing oftens spawns new names of techniques to appeal to a public clamoring for the newest and best. When you are looking for a plastic surgeon, ask to see their results. You be the judge.
