Is IPL Laser Treatment for Breast Enlargement Effective?

I'm considering having ipl laser treatments for a breast enlargement. Research has shown that it increases up to 2 cup sizes only. Is this procedure effective? And what are the side effects?

A: IPL for breast enlargement

IPL, or any other light based therapy or lasers will not produce a larger breast. Hope you didn't put money down.

Best of luck, peterejohnsonmd.com

What's Better for Dull, Uneven Skin, Acne and Sunspots, a Peel or IPL? (photo)

I'm 37 with light skin and some skin laxity. I have adult acne, no acne scarring, and tend to redden around my nose and mouth. I've had one Vitalize peel, which went well and helped with texture, but didn't do much for the issues I mention above. I'm wondering what the best use of my funds is - continue with a course of Vitalize peels, deeper peels, or a course of IPL treatments?

A: Dull uneven skin sunspots and acne

It is hard to treat all of the above (Dull uneven skin, sun spots and acne) with one method.

For the sunspots (yours seem to be a combination of redness and pigmentation) IPL treatments would be very useful. The Aurora by Syneron would be a good choice.

It is unclear from your photos if you have a mild case of Rosacea (and Acne Rosacea). The IPL would be quite useful for Rosacea also.

Your acne seems to be mild.  It would probably respond to medical treatment.

Redness And More Visible Broken Blood Vessels After IPL for Rosacea- Normal?

I had my first IPL treatment for rosacea a few days ago. My face is still red, and the my broken vessel is more visible. Is it normal on the first treatment to see more red before it gets better? I'm scheduled for my next treatment in 5 weeks. Please advise. Thanks.

A: More visible broken vessel after IPL for Rosacea

One IPL treatment is not nearly enough to improve visibly the redness of your face.

You may observe a noticeable diference after 3 or 4 treatments.

The IPL cannot and would not make your dilated capillary ("broken vessel") worse.

If it looks worse, most likely thesurrounding redness has improved somewhat and thus the dilated capillary stands out more than before.

Always make sure that you are being treated by an experienced, Board Certified , Dermatologist or Plastic Surgeon.
