After IPL I Have Two Burn Blisters and Dark Marks That Never Existed - is This Normal?

After IPL , I have two burn blisters on my forehead and darkened marks that never existed on my forehead, and this was the clearest part of my face... is this normal??

A: IPL treatment more red than typical

Your photo shows greater skin reaction and redness than typical after IPL.  This will likely resolve but absolutely should be evaluated by your treating or supervising physician where the IPL was done to insure proper management.

What Skin Tones are Not Appropriate for IPL?

I am asian. in the country I live there is no photofacial or IPL facilities!so if I want to do any treatment I should go abroad.it needs time and money which i can afford but at frist i should find out whether it is good for my skin or not?my skin is not as dark as the indians nor as white as the chiness.it is paled and a little bit tend to yellow.

A: What does IPL do?

I think the real question you should be asking is, "What do I need to treat my concerns?"  Maybe IPL isn't even what you need.  What are you trying to treat?  What are your goals?

IPL can be used in Asian skin, but very cautiously.

How effective is IPL laser for covering a white spot?

I have Vitaligo and had a coloured tattoo over white spots - how effective is IPL laser for this? I have had 1 treatment so far and it is slightly lighter - my beautician says that another tment wont really have any more effect because there is no pigmentation left - how true is this?

ps. the tattoo started turning from a beige/brown to a pink/orange

A: IPL is not for tattoo removal

If you are hoping to remove the tattoo covering your vitiligo, then you need to be treated with the proper laser.  IPL is light therapy, not laser, and isn't typically used for tattoo removal.  I suggest that you see a dermatologist or plastic surgeon who performs tattoo removal regularly.
