Mommy Makeover....FTT and Boob Work, What To Expect With These? (photo)

Hi there. I have 3 Csections, and my kids were 9'3", 7'12", and 8'2" (3wks early!)Anyways, I have had consults-3 in person, 2 via email. I lost 50lbs, and I LOVE curves. I NEED a FTT and breast lift. I have alot of tissue and would end w/a D or DD just with my own. Thing is, I want them wider. I have even measurements on both sides and a 15bwd. What are your suggestions? How low would my TT scar be? How many ins would I lose? Would cut above my belly button? I do have 20-30lbs more to go.

A: Mommy Makeover

Congratulations on working toward the weight loss prior to surgery.  That will help you get the best result possible.  A "Mommy Makeover" is a relatively new term meaning breast and abdominal procedure, typically combined in order to try to restore your body to how it looked prior to pregnancy or ideally even better than before pregnancy.

The tummy tuck would provide significant improvement to your abdomen.  The scar can be placed as low as possible to accommodate the type of bathing suit you wish to wear.  There should not be an incision or a scar above your belly button.

Judging from your photos you will need a breastlift if you want to maintain volume; a breast reduction if you want to be smaller, that operation incorporates a lift. A breast implant could be combined with the breastlift to add superior fullness to the breast along with projection and it could be used to provide additional width, which is something you mentioned.

You have had a number of consultations and you should ideally choose a board certified plastic surgeon with whom you are comfortable and who will try to give you the results you are trying to achieve.  Thank you for your question and for the photos.

What is a Mommy Makeover?

overheard a woman say she was thinking about a "Mommy Make over".  what is this? does it require lots of surgery?  i had been considering a tummy tuck but maybe i should look into this instead??

A: Mommy Makeover and what it entails

Many women after pregnancy are not satisfied how their body looks due to teh hardship of pregnancy. Thereofre, at times their abdominal skin stretches and due to teh breast feeding the breast become saggy. So they are looking to return to their pre-pregnancy look. So tehy call this transofrmation a mommy makeover which includes performing a tummy tuck to remove excess skin and tighten the abdominal wall muscle in addition to doing a breast augmentation. this is what is considered a mommy makeover. Please make sure your surgeon is board certified.

Will a Hysterectomy Affect Mommy Makeover Results?

I am considering having a Mommy Makeover (Breast Lift, Breast Implants, a little Liposuction to the hips, umbilical hernia repair, and Tummy Tuck). I am quite certain that I do not want any more children. Will a Hysterectomy effect my cosmetic results?

A: Mommy makeover is very popular

A hysterectomy should not affect an abdominoplasty, tummy tuck, breast surgery or liposuction. Often a tummy tuck can be performed using the same incision as the gynecologist. This should be coordinated by the surgeons involved in your care.

I would perform the breast surgery and liposuction as a separate procedure. However, a tummy tuck and umbilical hernia repair can be performed with hysterectomy and should be discussed with your plastic surgeon.

A tummy tuck, breast surgery and liposuction can also be performed separately after the hysterectomy. The plastic surgeon can use the same incisional scar for the tummy tuck as the gynecologist. All of the options should be discussed with your plastic surgeon.
