Is It Ok to Have a Brazilian Butt Lift, Tummy Tuck, Breast Lift W/ Augmentation Same Time?

Is It Ok to Have a Brazilian Butt Lift, Tummy Tuck, Breast Lift W/ Augmentation Same Time?

A: Is it o.k. to have tummy tuck, breast surgery and buttock augmentation performed at the same time.

That's a good question. I don't believe anyone can give you a scientifically proven answer but I can tell you how I handle this in my practice. I feel that the least amount of trauma to the buttock after fat transfer will most likely lead to a greater amount of fat surviving the transfer. Therefore I encourage my buttock augmentation patients to avoid lying on their backs/buttocks as much as possible for the first week after surgery. Hopefully less pressure and shearing forces to the buttocks will improve survival of the transfer. If you have a tummy tuck it's really not possible to avoid lying on your back and therefore I tell my patients that I believe a smaller amount of fat may survive following fat transfer to the buttocks at the same time as a tummy tuck. Still, a significant amount of fat will survive. Most patients opt to do everything at the same time to avoid a second surgery, but some will elect to separate out the procedures just to ensure the best 'take' of the fat. I imagine different surgeons may feel differently than this but this is my approach. Best of Luck  Dr Harrell

If I Get the Brazilian Butt Lift, Wouldn't I be Able to Burn the Fat Off, Is that Likely?

if I get a brazilian butt lift since its my own body fat wouldn't I be able to burn it right back off?? Just a thought because I wouldn't wanna spend all of that money and it all disappears after a few months of working out...

A: Brazilian Butt Lift - Will exercise cause loss of volume?

You ask a good common-sense question. If you lose a critical amount of fat you may see a reduction of volume in the buttocks. It all depends upon how much fat you lose after surgery as well as where the fat in the buttock was transferred from. Most women will identify a particular area of fat that is the most stubborn area to lose from and that's where I will try and harvest fat for transfer to the buttocks. The thinking is that those fat cells will be slower to give up their fat if a patient loses a substantial amount of weight after surgery. Having the procedure done with you at a more ideal body weight will decrease the chance of this happening. Best of Luck  Dr Harrell
