I don’t even know where to begin. Everything about my process with Dr. Wegerif was flawless. I’m a returning client to Pure after a BBL 6 years ago. I initially had my mind set on working with Dr. Earle again to undergo and breast reduction and lift, but after being given the option to go with another surgeon who specializes in breast, I decided to keep my options open. I was told about all of his position and I also did my own research and I was thoroughly impressed. I also trusted in Dr. Earl‘s judgment and discernment, so I lean into selecting Dr. Wegerif as my surgeon. As someone who can overthink from time to time, I chose to let go and let God. My anxiety was through the roof up until the day before my surgery at my preop. It was my first time meeting Dr. Wegerif and as soon as he walked in, and we made eye contact and smiled, I felt at ease. He explained to me what the process would be and he will answer all 25 of my questions lol. After I left, I felt a great sense of calm and confidence in my decision. During my pre-op, I expressed to him that I wanted to be the first to do my surgery because I didn’t want to lose my nerves and he said that he would see what he could do. I was told that my surgery would be at 12 noon but the next morning I was called at about 8 AM and told that there was a change in the schedule and I could come in as early as I wanted. That made me happy and made me feel heard. I arrived and again my anxiety started to go up, but once Dr. Wegerif came into the room and started to mark me up and we had light conversation I felt very much at ease again. He has amazing bedside manner and patience. After I got my IV put into my hand, I walked back to the surgery room and the song the team asked me to provide for them was playing. It soothed me and before I knew it I was waking up a new woman. The sun is I woke up in recovery very light, very lighthearted and in a great mood. On my way home the team called me, Dr. Wegerif texted me to make sure I was doing ok and it made me feel safe and cared for. The pain was maybe a 3. Very mild. I’m now officially three weeks postop today. I’m happy to say that my recovery has literally been uneventful. I did not take the percs, only Tylenol the first two days. My tapes were removed last Tuesday at my two week mark and I was so afraid to see what was underneath them, but my incisions are super clean very thin and I know that they’re going to fade very easily. Dr. Lera has been super responsive has taken less than 15 to 20 minutes to respond to any questions that I have assuming that he’s not in surgery and I’ve had an amazing experience. I’m definitely going to be returning to Pure Plastic Surgery. I’m so grateful that I followed my instincts and chose to go with Dr. Wegerif. He is amazing. The team is amazing and the high-end, boutique style experience and care you receive is worth every dollar. This is your sign to choose him and the team. Dr. Wegerif was the perfect choice for me for my drainless tummy tuck. I was apprehensive because I had never undergone a major surgery but he made me feel at ease, cared for, and equally important I felt he listened. I am 5 weeks post surgery and experienced minimal discomfort. My recovery was pretty quick. Considering I flew in for the surgery, I felt that I could always easily communicate with the staff through the patient portal and received prompt responses. I am 57 years old and my abs are enviable! I feel amazing physically and have regained a ridiculous amount of confidence. I bought my first bikini in more than 25 years and I will be wearing it! Thank you a million times to Dr. Wegerif for giving me so much back of what I thought was gone! If I could give him more than 5 stars I would.
I had an AMAZING experience with Dr. Wegerif & Pure Plastic Surgery. Dr. Wegerif listened to my needs and was very honest about the results. He did a 360 Vaser Lipo & BBL and my results came out great with my body type. I look natural which was what I was looking for & they are extremely good with their follow ups. I was a bit scared but they have the best support system answer all your needs and questions. Their massage therapist "Jessica" is great and I also had an amzazing experience with her. I am so glad I found this place which my main concern was safety and Pure Plastic Surgery delivered.
I must say that my experience with Dr. Wegerif was awesome. He took the time to listen, answer all my questions, and was understanding to my concerns. I am impressed by his attention to detail as it relates to plastic surgery. Once again, thanks Doc and I would highly recommend him for your surgical needs!
I had a breast lift without implants, and my breasts turned out better than I had imagined. I always say that the doctor read my mind and what I wanted and what my body needed. I will always be grateful to the doctor!!! The best doctor without a doubt, 1000% recommended, he understands you and knows what is best for you.
I loved my experience. Dr Wegerif was amazing with answering questions and giving detailed instructions. He made me feel very safe and i never felt like i wasn't in good hands. I will be back for future procedures and Dr Wegerif will be my surgeon.
I had an exceptional experience with Dr. Garrett Wegerif at Pure Plastic Surgery and very happy with my results. He truly listens to his patients and does not sugarcoat the realities of surgery, providing honest insights about potential results and pitfalls. Dr. Wegerif performed a Drainless Tummy Tuck, with muscle repair and NO Lipo back in September 2024. I'm currently 3 months post-op. For reference, I was weighing 117lb pre-op, muscular build with low body fat percentage. I had abdominal flaccidity and diastasis recti as a result of two back-to-back pregnancies. Dr. Wegerif carefully explained how scars would be placed and discussed the possibility of additional scarring (if not enough skin to pull) specific to my case, ensuring I had realistic expectations. He discussed how I did not need lipo because my body fat was low, and in fact recommended against it, given that it could potentially damage healthy skin tissue when the procedure was not needed. His calm demeanor was reassuring, even when I felt anxious, which made the entire process much more comfortable. I followed his instructions to the T, making sure I was eating right pre- and post-op, with a high- protein diet. The results of my scars speak volumes about his technique, a very thin line and natural looking belly button! I highly recommend Dr. Wegerif for anyone seeking a skilled, professional, and transparent plastic surgeon.
I am so glad I made the decision to have a mommy makeover, and I'm so happy I chose Dr. Wegerif and Pure Plastic Surgery. It has been a great experience so far. Dr Wegerif has great beside manner, he made me feel comfortable, and answered all my questions. He also did a beautiful job. I'm 4 weeks post op so I'm still healing and I'm still a little swollen, but my before and after speaks for itself. The practice/clinic is also amazing. It's not like those cash grab places that no longer care about you once you've paid them. Pure is constantly reaching out and it super easy to communicate with them whenever you need to. Recovery was kinda rough for me because I hate being a burden and I hate when I can't do things for myself. So for me and my type A personality, I think it would have been easier to have had two separate surgeries, but that's just me and my inability to relinquish control lol. But I don't have any regrets. I can't wait to see my final results. If you have any questions feel free to ask me.
I started my research for tummy tucks back in 2014, it wasn't until 2023 that I found Dr. Wegerif. Honestly from the moment of consultation to speaking with a coordinator to taking me back into surgery was all a tremendous process. Dr. Wegerif was very thorough with explaining all aspects that went into the surgery, he has excellent beside manner. He listened to all the questions I had and answered them all with ease of understanding. I had asked about not remaking the belly button and just removing it all together and he didn't try to talk me out of it but approved my request.(: All post of visits he was very attentive while checking the incision and shape during healing. Made sure to explain what I should be doing during that time of the healing process and addressed any concerns or questions. I absolutely will be going back to him for any other procedures I may have in the future.
As soon as Dr Wegerif entered the room he was so warm and genuine. He was honest about the what the scar would look like after my tummy tuck but assured me that he would do his best to make a straight incision and hide it in my bikini line. He also said that it would be a drain-less procedure, which was a plus. I highly recommend Dr. Wegerif because of his professionalism, skill, bed side manner and follow up are second to none. You don’t need to look any further for your dream maker.
I will preface my answer by saying I do primarily drainless abdominoplasties. With that being said I think both techniques are very effective and as others have mentioned you should choose the surgeon you trust and get consistent results. The complication profile between the two techniques when done correctly is very similar, specifically the risk of seroma formation. Some studies actually showed a decreased risk of seroma with the drainless. Some patients just have a significant aversion to drains for a multitude of reasons; pain, squeamish about bodily fluids, anxiety about drain removal, the headache of recording drain outputs, restrictions on showering after surgery, etc. For these patients the drainless technique will provide great benefit. I strongly disagree that you "cannot pull as tight" with the drainless technique. The progressive tension sutures that make the drainless technique possible actually offloads tension on the incision allowing you to pull the flap very tight. I will be the first to admit that there are tradeoffs with the drainless technique. Most notably, increased operative time to place the progressive tension sutures (usually 15-30min). There can also be temporary dimpling of the skin in areas of the progressive tension sutures but this goes away within a few weeks. There are also rare circumstances during surgery that I may feel inclined to leave a single drain for a few days but this is uncommon. You should go with your gut and choose the surgeon you are most comfortable with. Best of luck with your decision!
Congratulations on your weight loss! This is a very difficult question to answer without doing an examination. The safe answer is probably a tummy tuck but based on your photos its possible you could also be a candidate for Lipo with a skin tightening device like Bodytite or J-Plasma. Factors that make lipo/skin tightening a reasonable option are skin quality and age. If you don't have any stretch marks and are less than 25 years old it may be reasonable. Another thing to consider is if you need a diastasis repair you would be better served with a tummy tuck. If you end up doing lipo/skin tightening then skin laxity is always a possibility and the only way to improve that would be a tummy tuck so it also comes down to what you are willing to tolerate in terms of getting a secondary procedure. Best of luck with your plastic surgery journey.
Congratulations on your upcoming surgery. Every surgeon has their own recommendations but generally speaking if you were my patient and had stopped breastfeeding at least 6 months ago but were still producing a small amount of milk I would move forward with surgery. I would advise you that you have a slightly increased risk of forming a lactocele (milk cyst) that may require medication or drainage to treat. Best of luck with your surgery!
Congratulations on your weight loss! That is a huge accomplishment. Accurate measurements are necessary to to give a definite answer but strictly based on your photos you would likely be a candidate for augmentation without lift if you were ok with a larger size implant to accommodate the skin envelope. Another important consideration is the technique used; I would recommend a dual plane 2 or 3 submuscular implant placement. This will allow for the upper portion of the implant to be covered by muscle and conceal rippling but the lower portion of the implant will be covered by the glandular breast tissue allowing the implant to fall into a more natural position in relation to the nipple. If you only wanted a very small implant you would likely require a lift.
If you developed an issue with a sure in the acute post operative phase of recovery and remove one of the plication sutures less than 3-6 months after the procedure it could compromise the results because your body hasn't been able to form strong scar tissue keeping the muscles together but after two years I would be surprised if your muscular plication was effected by a suture removal. As always, it's best to consult with your surgeon because they may have additional information about your case that is leading to their recommendation. Wishing you the best.
