I Have Loose Skin in Abdominal What Should I Do? (photo)

I am 22 yrs old i am very insecure about my stomach. I can not afford to have a tummy tuck for 2 reasons: a. can not afford to take time off work and b. the cost... Would I be an ideal candidate for smart lipo? or maybe even thermage? i dont care about the stretch marks i just want a flat tight stomach.. i have been going to the gym and not matter how much weight i loose my stomach remains the same.. I NEED HELP.. i also had my appendix removed hint the dot above what is suppose to be my navel.

A: Tummy Tuck ONLY!

Thank you for the question and pictures. You should be proud of what you have achieved through diet and exercise. You are correct in that it is likely that you have reached a plateau and cannot do much more with the appearance of your abdomen without surgical help.

Unfortunately,  you are not a good candidate for anything except tummy tuck surgery. The other treatment modalities you mentioned will waste your time and money.

I would suggest that you delay any intervention until you can afford the tummy tuck procedure and the time off work...

Best wishes.

Advantages of Ulthera to Thermage?

What are the advantages and disadvantages of Ulthera and Thermage? Are more doctors switching to Ulthera? What is the main reason?

A: Ulthera goes deeper to allow for more accurate skin tightening

Ulthera’s effect is deeper than Thermage. It allows a more accurate skin tightening, The results appear to be about twice as good as Thermage.

Thermage Downtime I'm considering getting Thermage, and I know they say there's minimal downtime, but is that true? What can I expect in terms of recovery time? Will I need to take time off of work to hide redness, etc? Thanks.
A: Thermage post-treatment effects

I have performed Thermage treatments for almost a decade now and I have never seen any significant downtime at all.  I assume you are having your face treated - you may have some initial redness afterwards but this is usually only for about 5-10 minutes in most cases.

I have also seen a couple patients experience minor swelling just underneath their chin that has lasted for a few days.  The redness and swelling are usualy so mild that other people would not typically know that you had any treatment at all.  Good luck.
