I have recently had the pleasure of visiting Dr. Wu at Waterfront Skin and Laser. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed by the friendly and professional staff, setting the tone for an outstanding experience. Dr. Wu is a true skin expert, and it's evident that he is passionate about his work. His extensive knowledge and attention to detail immediately put me at ease. What impressed me the most was the personalized approach to my skincare needs. Dr. Wu created a customized treatment plan tailored to address my specific concerns and skin type. This level of individualized care made me feel confident that I was in the hands of a dedicated professional. I had my first microblading done 5 years ago and loved it. Looked very natural. I needed them touched up 2 years ago and could not locate the same artist but, found her previous business partner and had heard good things ( she has 5 star review on Yelp). As soon as my new microblading was done I thought they looked very dark but, was told they would fade. 2 years later and they are still dark but, are now turning blue.I wish I had never had it done a 2nd time. After much research I had my first treatment today with a PICO laser done by a very reputable dermatologist. All the blue, black is gone but, a LOT of red ink is present. I'm told this is normal and will look better after my 2nd treatment in April. I'll continue to update my healing journey for this first treatment. This photo is Day 1. I'll update with another photo after a few days. Updated on 13 Jan 2023: Redness is getting darker (good thing) but, eyes are swollen a bit today.I was expecting this. Hopefully better when I post day after tomorrow. Washed my face gently last night. It sure itches. Dr said I can use 1% hydrocortisone along with Vanicream ointment. Updated on 16 Jan 2023: Updated on 24 Jan 2023: Updated on 6 Apr 2023: 3 hours s/p 2nd treatment. Lessees this time o that’s good. I’ll update in a week when subs re healed. Updated on 6 Jul 2023: 12 weeks after 2nd treatment and almost back to normal. I have them filled in with a bit of pencil but, no more black or blue.

I have had less than ideal experiences with under eye filler before but, that was not the case with Dr Wu. I am extremely happy with my results this time. He was gentle, took his time, very slight swelling ( resolved after 4 days) and no bruising. I highly recommend him!

I have been seeing Dr. Wu for a few months to treat residual acne scarring from teenage years. Mild-to-moderate, but combination and in some hard / complex areas. Over the years I have spent a lot of money on superficial treatments, creams etc. from other providers that provided very mild results. Dr. Wu is incredibly skilled and has an eye second to none for treating scarring. He used a combination approach with Fraxel and some other tools to give me the best result while taking into consideration my physical features to deliver a natural and meaningful outcome. His coworker Brittany who assists with treatments was also absolutely wonderful, kind and thoughtful. There are no questions too annoying, they respond fast and more than anything they are competent. The aftercare and follow-up from Cecelia and the rest of the team was also exemplary in how good patient care works. I have researched a lot of providers in U.S. and am so happy I found Dr. Wu and his team. If you have any scarring or resistant / old damage, I would recommend seeing him. The investment is definitely worth in the boost it gives in self-confidence.

I recommend visiting Dr. Wu with your skin needs, especially if you're unsure what treatment route is best for you. He communicates very well and made my visit extremely comfortable. I felt so at ease that I had space to think about my options without being overwhelmed. Everything was clearly laid out including pricing, and all of my questions were answered. I went in for my first session and will not be going anywhere else for VBeam laser from now on.

Dr. Wu treated me for my under eye bags, cheeks, jawline, and my frown lines. This was my very first time getting anything injected at all, and I already want to go back! I definitely notice a difference, but I don’t feel it was overdone at all - the perfect amount. Dr. Wu is so professional and kind, he is truly best in class for his craft. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my face. I cannot recommend Dr. Wu enough!!! (For reference: I got Restylane brand fillers and Dysport)

I am a little more than one week post op Picoway and Clear&Brilliant to treat melasma. I LOVE the results so far. Dr. Wu is great. He’s really sweet and understands Asian skin. He restored the perfect skin I once had in my early 20s!

I've always had acne scars, huge pores all over and dark spots around my face. No OTC brightening cream was doing the trick so I decided to go to a cosmetic dermatologist, Dr. Wu, and had him take a look at my face. He said that he specializes is Asian (darker skin) and recommended Picoway as a form of treatment for what I wanted as my end result. The process was not comfortable and there was downtime (8 days total of bright red spots all over my face), but the end result is amazing! Even with just one treatment of Picoway, I can visibly see smaller pores and lightening of my dark spots and acne cars.

Dr. Wu and every one at Cosmetic Laser Dermatology are AH-MAH-ZING!!!!! I cannot say enough about how much I LOVE this office!!! I came to Dr. Wu looking to treat my severe flushing and rosacea. It's a newer condition for me and one that has been a source of great physical and emotional pain. Dr. Wu was so attentive and patient as I vented my whole saga of skin issues. After listening to my monologue, Dr. Wu not only recommended a plan of action, but also explained why and how this plan would be most effective, while also setting realistic and honest expectations. Fast forward to my first treatment. The treatment it self was fine (definitely get the numbing cream though!). However, what stood out most to me is how I was treated after the procedure. Dr. Wu gave me his email and said I could contact him at any point, even over the weekend. Sure enough, I contacted him the following day with concerns as to how swollen my face was. Despite it being a Saturday, Dr. Wu responded to my email with in 30 mins! AH-MAH-ZING!!!! Dr Wu and his office clearly value their patients and it is reflected time and time again in how attentive and kind they are with every interaction. If you live in San Diego and need a dermatologist, look no further!
