Options to Fix Asymmetrical Cheekbone?

i have Asymmetrical cheekbones, one is higher than the other.so i am wondering if there is any way to fix it .also i want cheeks implants ,but am scared if i get them done the asymmetry of my cheeks will be more obvious!? pleas i need an expert opinion.

A: Cheekbone enhancement, correcting asymmetry, recommendation

Cheek or cheekbone enhancement is becoming much more popular, not only in younger patients for aesthetic reasons, but also in older patients as they notice that the tissue over their cheekbones come down with aging.  There are nonsurgical as well as surgical options.  Nonsurgical options include injections of filler, with the most popular now being Radiesse.  This option is great for someone who: only needs mild improvement, is not sure how it will look and wants to see if they like it, or who does not wish surgery or can't have surgery for medical reasons.  The results are immediate and can be repeated.  For those that know what they want and wish permanent results, cheek implants can produce beautiful results - like anything, you need to look for a board certified plastic surgeon who is well experienced and can show you examples of their work.  Any procedure should be anticipated on how it will look with aging, but in the right patient, the result can be beautiful and long lasting.

What Do I Do About Extreme Swelling in Lips After Juvederm Ultra?

On Monday afternoon I had 0.8ml of Juvederm Ultra injected into my lips. Later that afternoon and into the night, I massaged and fiddle with them so much that they began to get sore and they were beginning to swell up. The next morning I woke with horror to see that my lips had grown at least 3 or 4 times in size! It is now wednesday and they have barely reduced in size, I still look like a deformed cartoon. Could it be an infection or allergy? How long will it last and what can I do????

A: Extreme Swelling After Injections...

The massaging you did, more than likely, caused you the extreme swelling.  I always try to encourage my patients... "hands off" after I have injected a particular area.  You should follow up with your provider.  It is likely that it is an infection.  Apply ice to the area and stop massaging!

Hope this helps.  Good luck.

How Long Does It Take for the Honeycombing Pattern to Completely Disappear After Pearl?

I am a fair skin Asian and 3 months out from the pearl fractional treatment. I still have the honeycombing pattern on my face and concerned that this may be permanent. Does it go away completely?

A: Pattern after Pearl Fracional....

Yes, this pattern will become less apparent as the months go by, everyone is different on how quickly it subsides.  I like to encourage the use of a Retinol or RetinA as well to help with anti-aging and improving the texture of the skin after a Pearl Fracional.  If you do use Retinol or RetinA please be cautious to only use at night and every morning apply sunscreen on your face.

Hope this helps.
