Can Implants That Have Been Placed over the Muscle Be Replaced Behing the Muscle?
I have 220cc implants placed subglandular, and I can feel them ver much when I lay on my back. I guess its normal as I'm pretty thin? Would it be possible (is it usuall possible) to have them removed and replaced in a submuscular position? And would there be consecuences to that?
A: Change in Breast Implant PositionYes, you can definitely change implant position to under the muscle. This is commonly refereed to as a site change. Placing the implants under the muscle will ultimately give more tissue coverage and less rippling. However, note that when the implants are put under the muscle they are never completely under the muscle. The larger the implant the less muscle will actually cover the implant. The upper portion of and implant is covered with muscle and the lower portion generally is not. Also, if you have saline implants changing to silicone will help the look and feel of the implant. Good luck.
What Will my New Cup Size Approximately be if I Wear 34A and Get 440 Saline Implants?
I am 10 days post op. I was a 34 A bra size pre op and received 440 saline implants moderate plus profile under the muscle. I also received a small mastopexy with this. He said he wouldn't need to remove that much skin. What will my new cup size be ? I am 5 ft 4 in 115 lbs.
A: Bra Cup Size After Breast Augmentation SurgeryPredicting a bra cup size after a breast augmentation is difficult at best since it depends on several factors. It depends on existing breast volume, implant volume, your band width, and it will very between different bra manufacturers. Wait several months for all the swelling to go down and then go get fitted for bras.
Would a Doctor in the US Write a Prescription for Meds if I'm Getting Surgery Done in Mexico?
I am traveling to MX for sx. I have thoroughly researched my doctor. I will have a TT, and lipo. I was told that the US has stronger meds than Mexico. The pain medicine that the dr gives is sinergix. Would a doctor in US give me meds if I told them the truth?
A: Surgery AbroadAs a plastic surgeon who practices on the border I have had the unique opportunity to see and treat many patients who have had surgery in Mexico. While I'm sure there are many fine doctors across the border the regulations are questionable. The main problem is if you have problem there is no recourse for the patient. You do NOT have the same rights that are granted to you in the U.S. What appears to be a bargain right now may cost you many fold more in revision surgery if it can even corrected. If you do have a problem you will then have the task of trying to find a U.S. doctor who will do revision surgery. I assure you this will be much more difficult than getting a prescription. Think very carefully!
