I had an amazing experience with Dr Khan from start to finish. I saw her for an upper and lower blepharoplasty. After several hours of research and reviewing results, I felt most comfortable with her. Especially since she would be operating close to my eyes. Her process from the initial consultation process to the surgery follow ups were thorough and I never felt like I was alone. She provided her personal number and was always ready to answer any concerns I was having about expectations and the healing process. Her expert knowledge about how to properly treat me to get the results I was looking for were spot on. I would recommend her to anyone as she truly cares about her work and even more so, her patients.

I couldn't have had a better experience with Dr. Khan and her staff. I had severe ptosis on both eyes and after surgery, my eyes look wonderful, wide open and alert, and my vision has improved. Dr. Khan herself reached out to me continually throughout my healing process. She was extremely kind, caring, and supportive before, during, and after my surgery. I had an upper bleph done the end of August 2024 and it was the easiest surgery, the easiest recovery, and Dr. Khan held my hand through the entire process from pre-surgery, surgery, to post-op. I’m obsessed with my results!

I knew I found my surgeon when I learned that Dr. Khan specializes in Oculoplastic and Ophthalmology, especially since I have a thyroid condition. I had to travel from another city in order to get my surgery but it sure was worth it. Dr. Khan is not only a great surgeon, but she is also very caring, down to earth, so easy to talk to, and an incredibly kind person. I am currently 3 weeks post op and am seeing some really great results in my lower eyelids (I had lower eye bags). She has followed up with me consistently since my surgery and always responds quickly whenever I have a question. I couldn't have asked for a better person and surgeon to perform my eyelid surgery! She is absolutely AMAZING!!

Dr. Tanya Khan performed my upper and lower blepharoplasty in October of 2024, and I am beyond pleased with the results.

I had consulted with two other surgeons in the area (and actually put down a deposit with one of them). However, I was not 100% comfortable with their plan of care. That's when I found RealSelf and Dr. Khan. She was quick to respond to my inquiry (several by email, actually) and consultation request, and I was in her office right away. She spent way more time talking to me about overall eye and skincare, which I did not get from the previous two surgeons. I never felt pressured or felt I needed to look the way Dr. Khan thought I should look. Instead, she was receptive to my concerns and provided a few options. I was interested only at first in a lower blepharoplasty (to be rid of minor bags and the overall look of tiredness), but Dr. Khan also talked to me about an upper blepharoplasty and the benefits of ridding my ptosis. After some contemplating (about a weekend), I was comfortable enough with Dr. Khan that I scheduled my surgery right away.

I found the experience of cosmetic surgery to be quite different from that of other types of surgeries, where they make you fill out a ton of paperwork and lie around and wait. On the day of my surgery, I was taken straight back, placed with an IV, and met with the doctor again to discuss next steps. Everyone at the surgery center was so pleasant that it made me feel even better about my decision. The weirdest part was waking up during the procedure (as intended) to open my eyes so that Dr. Khan could tweak her work on my upper eyelids. I loved that she is a perfectionist, and when she noticed something wasn't quite to her liking and what we discussed, she modified right then. It was definitely odd to "feel" someone working on your eyelid. No pain; just "feeling." Once she was satisfied, I was put back to sleep so she could finish my lower eyelids. And just like that, the surgery and recovery period were over, and I was being driven home with gauze over my eyes.

I will not lie and say that an upper and lower blepharoplasty are a breeze. I could not see quite right for the first couple of days because the swelling was so intense, and there was definitely some light sensitivity. Plus, I had surgery on Friday and was back at work (work from home) on Monday. I would recommend a few more days of recovery if you can spare them, especially if your work requires computer use. I was able to stay off camera, which helped. But I kept up with my eye drops, ointment, and other necessities as instructed. The best part was that Dr. Khan texted me to check on me throughout the first couple of weeks, so I felt like I was not alone and still had her support during my initial recovery.

The initial incisions, swelling, and bruising were startling. I saw several other people online (i.e., influencers) who reported having little swelling and the like, and I suppose I'm just not blessed like them. But that is okay. Everyone's experience is different. I had to remember that I had surgery (and my husband had to remind me, too), so healing takes time. The bruising lasted the longest and did not resolve until at least 4 weeks after surgery, but it did fade over time.

I'm happy to say that I'm two months post-op and am happier every day. When I look in the mirror (or at my own face during Zoom meetings), I don't see the same tired person I saw before. My eyes are more open, and my bags--while small compared to some--are no longer there. If done right--as Dr. Khan did--this surgery may not prompt anyone to notice anything different about you because it's so subtle. But for me, that didn't matter. I did it for myself and to feel more comfortable, so I didn't care if anyone else noticed. I liked the way I looked a little better. (And even my husband said I looked younger!)

You certainly will find other surgeons in the Dallas are who are just as competent, but I am not sure you will find one like Dr. Khan who takes the time to understand your goals, make recommendations, and work with you to achieve a fabulous outcome. Her warmth, intelligence, and ability were the main reasons I chose her--aside from her stellar skill and exceptional reputation--and it should be part of the reason you choose her, too.

Dr. Khan is great! I visited her practice to get Restylane dissolved from under my eye area (it was injected at another clinic) and I was looking for a doctor that specializes in eyes. After meeting with Dr. Khan I knew I was in the rights hands--very helpful, answered all my questions and I could tell she was an expert. I had the Restylane dissolved and I'm very pleased with the results.

I discovered Dr Tanya Khan on Realself and this is my review. Turning 60 I had wanted to do something to help my increasingly puffy lower eyelids, but had never had cosmetic surgery and was worried. After doing my research, I knew I wanted someone who was an oculoplastic surgeon. It’s the eyes, and my vision! I read the reviews, and in conclusion, I booked my appointment with Dr Khan. I immediately knew I could trust her- I had that feeling! her education, her calm demeanor, the feeling I was definitely getting a good analysis of what I needed- and her being a woman-I also preferred that. She explained everything and was always available during the recovery and kindly and patiently got back with me on every question.

It’s been a few months since my lower lid procedure which included supporting the canthal corners and later a chemical peel. I am so glad I did it!! I look the same- but minus the bags. What a difference!!

I get compliments from people who have no idea, but just think my skin looks good. Exactly what I wanted. Dr. Khan I can totally recommend- she’s the best!

I had the best experience possible with Dr Tanya Khan!

At my consultation, Dr Tanya recommended I get tear trough and chin filler, along with the lip filler that I originally came in for. I agreed, and she let me know the cost, healing process, dos and don’ts etc before hand. During the procedure, she made me feel comfortable and told me everything that she was doing as she was doing it. My results are natural looking, and exactly what I was going for.

Dr Khan is a true professional. She is very thoughtful about asked procedures and will talk you out if you don’t need it! She is very caring and stays connected before and after the procedure. I would highly recommend her to everyone!
