Dr. Richardson and his front desk staff, nurses Beth and Jessica are phenomenal! I traveled a long ways to have this procedure done. I was nervous but they quickly put me at ease. They are very welcoming and Dr. Richardson just has this awesome, calming, reassuring vibe to him. I instantly liked him just from our initial consult, but to be honest, I was also consulting with other surgeons. I decided to go with Dr. Richardson because I appreciated how well organized his staff were and the quick responses to all my questions. I never felt pressured and they did a lot of teaching from the start. And honestly, I was more impressed with his work than any other surgeons. They are so well organized, kinda like they did this a thousand times. Coming from out of state, I felt like all the questions and concerns I had were addressed early on. When the time came for my surgery, I felt well prepared.. The anesthesiologist, Dr. Le, did an amazing job because I had no pain, no nausea. The nurses are great teachers- addressing every aspect of preop and recovery. The day after surgery when my bandage was removed, I was simply amazed by Dr. Richardson’s meticulous attention to detail. I am also a nurse so I’ve seen more than my fair share of surgical incisions. His suture work is amazing- like, bless his heart cause the time, patience, and attention to detail it took to make my incision look perfect had me feeling sorry for him, but that’s what he does and why he’s so good. I’m surprised the surgery was only a couple of hours. The space between sutures along with how even and perfect it looked, almost looked like only a machine could’ve done it.I even pointed them out to my family like “Look how perfect this is!” I also appreciated that Dr. Richardson really took his time with me. Making sure all my questions were answered. The only regret I have is not just staying there the whole week! I never heard of Frisco, but there is plenty to do and see there. Good places to eat. There are also lots of lodging choices, including a few air bnbs that were a 4-5 minute drive from the surgery center. I plan on returning for some laser skin work in the future. I live close to a major city and there’s no shortage of laser clinics, but I just felt so comfortable with Dr. Richardson and his staff that I know it would be worth it- results wise and emotionally (because I wouldn’t be anxious). Thank you Dr. Richardson, Beth, Jessica, Dr. Le, and the rest of the staff (I’m so sorry I forgot names).
i had a 15mm philtrum and i asked for super conservative results. my main goal was more pink show of my lip as i was unsatisfied with what lip filler was giving me. i believe after swelling i will be at 13mm's. i see a bit more of my upper teeth as well and i can "feel" it more. given the cost of filler in the long run, the price of this procedure felt very reasonable and it was an easy decision for me. scheduling/consult: the process was super simple, staff was very nice and patient with me during the scheduling process and got me fitted in quickly which was great. consult was quick and thorough. morning of, met with Dr. Richardson and we reviewed once more what he was going to do, and then met with the anesthesiologist as well and he was super nice. Healing: I was alarmed by my nose swelling but it's day 7 now and it's reduced drastically. Patience is always key with any procedure, let alone cosmetic. Scarring looks like it will heal very well, I'm highly optimistic. I will update at my 6 week post op, and will be using scar gel twice a day to ensure best results.
My decision to go for a facelift was followed by extensive research on plastic surgeons in the area. Dr. Matthew Richardson’s name at Texas Facial Aesthetics, Frisco was recommended by another great surgeon of mine, and I found him true to the stellar reviews he has earned. It is daunting to realize that facelift is something that would alter your visage. That said, I was nervous and had many questions for him! My nervousness and stress were short lived after meeting with Dr. Richardson. He completely put my mind to rest and at that very instance, I knew I had found the right surgeon for my facelift! Dr. Richardson and his staff are exceptional! I felt at home the moment I stepped into their clinic. He has extremely fine hands. It is hard to see any sutures/scarring. The whole process is painless. I am almost a month out now and I have to say, I couldn’t be happier with the results that are unfolding. The post-op instructions were very easy to follow, and I followed everything religiously. The ease of getting answers to my questions was great. I could just email, text or call his office if I had a question, and they were addressed and answered promptly by Dr. Richardson or his nurses. His team consists of excellent anesthetists (mine was Dr. Lee), nurses and medical assistants. I would like to mention Sam, Jessica and Beth; they were outstanding. The front desk and staff are very personable, polite and caring. Everything about Dr. Richardson’s clinic is phenomenal. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking to get a facelift, neck lift or any other cosmetic procedure. I would give him a million stars if I could! He is the best!!
I had a neck lift, lower facelift, lip lift, fat grafting to face, CO2 laser and forehead reduction. Dr Richardson is amazing and made me look 10 plus years younger. The scars are minimal and I am 2 1/2 months out from surgery. He and his staff were professional, prompt with replies and accommodating to my schedule. I would highly recommend.
I had a combined forehead reduction + brow lift done last week. I considered this surgery for years, but was waiting until I found someone I felt comfortable with given the potential for complications. Last fall, I stumbled on Dr. Richardson online, and am so happy I did! I travelled internationally for this surgery and stayed in Dallas for a week until suture removal. This worked out fairly well—I brought some work with me and stayed productive in a hotel room nearby. I've had quite a few cosmetic surgeries and this was the least painful recovery. So far I have had no hair loss. I am super happy with my results so far. Everything is symmetric and the scar looks great. I may consider hair transplantation down the road to round out my hairline a little.
Dr Richardson is absolute magician!! He fixed a lifelong insecurity with a 1.5 hour procedure!! I’m am so beyond thrilled with the outcome. He is the only doctor to go to if you are looking to do a hairline lowering procedure. The way he is so meticulous with how he places the stitches within the hair is just so amazing and I haven’t seen anyone do it this way and not to the perfection that he does. I could go out in public with stitches in still and nobody would know. The results are absolutely the most natural I’ve seen and nobody would ever know that my now perfect hairline is all thanks to Dr. Richardson!! I flew in from the northeast to have this procedure and went home 2 days after surgery, then came back 5 days later to get the stitches taken out. I stayed at aloft nearby which was super close, comfortable & not that expensive. I’m so glad that i stuck with my gut decision to have this done with Dr Richardson eventhough it was a little extra planning coming from out of town. I’m so happy with the results and can now say see you later bangs!!!
My experience with Dr. Richardson and his team were fantastic. They provided great service and treatment pre-op and post-op. I had a 2000 FUE beard transplant done, and I am extremely satisfied with the outcome of my beard. The density, angulation, and overall appearance of the beard are amazing. It looks natural and is exactly what I wanted. Dr. Richardson provided realistic expectations and delivered on what he said. Him and his team are there for you even after hours during the entire process. If you are considering a beard transplant, I would highly recommend Dr. Richardson and his team. The cost is worth the excellent results.
Been a couple of years since I had my hairline lowered and I am still 100% happy! Before, I was very self-conscious of my five-head and hated how I looked in braids and ponytails. This surgery was worth every penny! From the consultation to the last visit, Dr. Richardson and his amazing nurses addressed all my questions/concerns and took genuine care of me. The recovery was easier than I anticipated. I went back to work Monday after surgery on a Thursday. I can't lie, I would occasionally tear up so happy seeing my forehead in the mirror because I finally had a regular hairline after thinking it wasn't possible for so many years. Only downside for me were the sporadic shooting pains in my scalp which lessened as time went on. It's a given though as the nerves are coming back to life. Just had to be careful not to bump the head and wear any tight hairstyles for at least 6 months. Other than that it's been smooth sailing. People still can't tell I had my forehead reduced because my hairline looks natural and the scarring is almost non-existent. That was Dr. Richardson's goal and he aced it!
Dr. Richardson and his team are amazing. They are super thorough and caring from pre-op to post-op. I truly felt they wanted to keep me comfortable and informed throughout the process and most importantly, with the results. And 100% - I am more than happy with the way things look. I wish I had done the procedure sooner than later!
My overall experience with Dr. Richardson was top-notch. I have had a robotic hair transplant in NY previously, and the WAW FUE system that Dr. Richardson uses is superior imo. The manual extracting pen makes a much smaller incision which results in much quicker healing to the donor area, and ultimately less scarring to the donor site. Additionally, the importance placed on the care that must be taken in the immediate postop period so that the grafts are not disrupted and lost while your scalp is incorporating the new hair follicle, was something that wasn’t explained to me during my first procedure at the other clinic. It is apparent to me that Dr. Richardson and his staff truly specialize in hair restoration and I feel much better about the results from this second procedure. Overall I recommend Dr. Richardson to anyone who is interested in hair restoration without reservations.
Forehead reduction surgery is a good option for reducing the forehead size in a patient with a longer face and a large forehead, as long as proper facial proportions are maintained. I would not recommend having any surgery performed in order to improve any personal or professional life situations. I encourage my patients to have surgery only if they desire to do the procedure for themselves (not for anyone else) and have the resources (such as adequate friend/family support, time off work, financial resources, etc) to have the procedure comfortably and without undue stress. All the best,
Every face (including the shape, volume, and dimensions) is slightly different. Some faces are more elongated while others are more compact or round. The hairline can be lowered with forehead reduction surgery, and patients with good hair density are the best candidates for forehead reduction surgery. Hair transplantation is another hairline lowering option, but usually requires multiple sessions and is a longer, more involved process. Best,
Hair loss after forehead reduction surgery is very uncommon. Some patients may report some temporary shedding, but this is not something that is usually visible to an outside observer. I've never seen any issues with permanent hair loss other than the occasional slightly widened scar that is easily corrected. Shock loss is a rare occurrence and is temporary hair loss that will eventually recover. All the best,
Reversing hairline lowering is very difficult, if not impossible. There will most likely be scars and other undesirable cosmetic changes. This is why I commonly tell patients that I simply will not take the hairline beyond a certain point, and frequently turn away patients that may have unrealistic expectations or desire unnatural results. Removing 2 inches of forehead is an extremely dramatic change, and reversing that amount would be extremely difficult. 2 centimeters is a much more common amount of hairline lowering and might be easier to reverse.
Hair transplants and forehead reduction surgery can both lower a hairline effectively. For patients who are satisfied with the shape of the hairline, I think forehead reduction is generally a better option because it has faster results and a more natural-appearing hairline. Hair transplants are most useful for changing the shape of the hairline. They can also be used for lowering the hairline, but the hair density will not be as good as the natural hairline, at least not without multiple transplant sessions. Best,
