Breast Reduction Surgery

I'm considering a breast reduction surgery, but I want to know more about what it involves. Is just fat removed or is it breast tissue? Is skin excised, as well? How long does the procedure take?

A: Breast Reduction Surgery...

During a breast reduction, fat, skin, and breast tissue are removed. The nipple is repositioned and the breast is lifted. The scars typically go around the nipple, straight down, and underneath the breast. The procedure takes anywhere from 90 minutes to 2 hours.

Can my Wife Get a Breast Reduction? (Photo)

my wife is a 34b and we would love it if she could have them reduced as much as possible. the reason for the reduction is not for a medical reason but for sexual preference.

A: Breast Reduction for 34 B breasts

It can technically be done but insurance would not pay for it since she is not having any neck, back or breast problems.

How Long After Breast Reduction Should You Wait to Sleep Without a Bra?

How long after breast reduction surgery should you wait before going braless(sleepig without)?

A: Bra-less after breast reduction

All plastic surgeon's think differently on this matter but science tells us that scars (on the inside and out) are the strongest they are going to be at 6 weeks.  Therefore, although your breasts still have shaping to do (final shape is not seen in a breast reduction for 3-6 months), you can likely go bra-less at this point.  Good luck!
