Today I scheduled my breast reduction for 10/14/14. I am very nervous about having the surgery. I have had back problems for 10+ years and I had lower backer surgery when I was 15. My back felt much better after the surgery. But once I graduated college and started working at a desk job, my upper back started hurting too. This summer I found out that I have 8 herniated discs in my back.
I've had large breasts since Jr. High. It has created a lot of issues, including chronic back pain. I had looked into a reduction before, but was having a hard time with previous insurance. After having my child at 37, it only got worse. I was tired of the pain, and since I'm a "mature" mom, I want to be able to keep up with my child.
Here are some before pictures. The after is 48 hours... more
A year ago my grandmother passed away after 94 years of life. She was a petite woman with huge breasts and my memories of her include her always adjusting her bra, back pain and the family joke that her bra size was an "LMNOP cup." While I am not petite, I did inherit her large breasts.
Unbeknownst to her grandchildren, my siblings and I were each left a small amount of money in her will. I... more

I decided in June 2013 to start the breast reduction process and started with research upon research. It was the best decison I've made. I wore a 40H bra before my surgery and she made me a perfect 40C, equal both breasts equal in size for the first time since a lumpectomy 15 years ago. The best thing I ever did!!!!!! I was a "D" cup in one and a "DD" in the other. I think. They both always popped out of the bra by the end of the day so I may have even been bigger. My breasts had always been large but after having two children they got larger and never went back down. The neck and shoulder pain and headaches were terrible!
