I feel as though the outer part of my nose is much bigger than most females and I have a curve between my nose and upper lip. I have already had rhinoplasty to remove a hump from the top of my nose. I am still unsatisfied with how my nose looks from the side.
From your profile view there appears to be some excess bulk remaining in the nasal tip which could be refined. I would need to see you in person and review multiple angles to give you good advice about the specifics of what is possible with your nose. I agree with Dr. Palmer that surgery of the nasal ala should be reserved for more extreme cases of flaring. I think a thorough consultation with an experienced revision rhinoplasty surgeon will give you the best feel for your options.
I had a rhinoplasty 7 weeks ago, the goal was to make the nose more narrow, osteotomy were used. Now 7 weeks post up, the top is narrower, but not from half down on the nose. I got some pictures here, where i also squeeze the nose on some of them to show that there's a bit soft on both sides, but is this swelling and will the skin shrink? He recommend to do some massaging which i have without any result.
You need to wait at least a year before any nasal revision to obtain the best results. Edema can persist that long. Donald R. Nunn MD Atlanta Plastic Surgeon.
