Will a Vertical Incision Work For Tummy Tuck and Medial Thigh Lift

Is it possible to undergo a high lateral tension tummy tuck and a medial thigh lift with only a vertical incision at the same time. A surgeon advised me that both could be performed together as there would not be an incision in the groin that would oppose the pulling of the tummy tuck suturing. Will a horizontal lift with no vertical lift (i.e groin incision) address my loose thigh problem?

A: Receiving a vertical tummy tuck and medial thigh lift at the same time

A high lateral tension tummy tuck is an excellent procedure to contour the abdomen and create a very pleasing figure. We commonly performed the surgery in conjunction with other body contouring procedures. Depending on your tissues and your overall medical status, it may be possible to perform this surgery with a medial thigh lift at the same setting. Keep in mind that this can be a challenging combination and so that is incredibly important that you only work with a board-certified plastic surgeon who is very experienced in both of these procedures. Such a surgeon will be able to assess your tissue and determine if you are a candidate for these two procedures. Be sure that you have an in-depth conversation with your surgeon about your expectations, if it is possible to reach your expectations, the scarring involved, and the significant recovery process after surgery.

Thigh Lift Scars: Vertical vs. Horizontal

i had a liopscution in May and planning to do thigh lift as i have saggin in the inner thigh and little sagging from outer thigh. i heard is vertical scar is bad as it's get wide and it's visiable as the horizontal scar which will be in the bikini area so it's not visiable and usually its good scar. so what would you recommend ? and also am planning to do tatto on the scar. so how long i need to wait to get the tatto on the scar ?

A: Thigh lifts - vertical vs. horizontal

The vertical design thigh lift removes more skin, and gets more of a better improvement in the mid and lower thigh than the smaller horizontal design, but at the expense of a significantly longer scar.  It's more commonly needed in people that have had MWL (massive weight loss), or significant previous liposuction of the inner thigh.

It's a trade-off of amount of improvement vs. amount of scar.

Hope that helps,

What is a Thigh Lift?

I know what the intended results are but I'd like to know more about how this procedure is actually done

A: What is a thigh lift?

A thigh lift reshapes the thighs by reducing excess skin, and in some cases fat, resulting in smoother skin and better-proportioned contours of the thighs and lower body.
