I am trying to find the most effective way to remove my stretch marks which are kind of bad, when I sit I seem to have some loose skin but if I stand it is not so bad. Also if I have laser surgery and wanted to get my stretchmarks removed on my legs stomach and butt would it all be the same price? Around what price would a mini tummy tuck be?
Stretch marks are an unsolved problem. Laser treatments often make little improvement in them. A mini tummy tuck only would get rid of a few lower abdominal stretch marks, since it excises relatively little skin. In my opinion, both of these options are disappointing for stretch mark treatment.
A standard or extended TT gets rid of a lot more stretch marks, since more skin is excised. This would be preferable, if you have enough skin laxity to do it.
In your case, the photos are a bit dark, and its hard to see exactly how high your stretch marks go.
See your local PS to discuss your options. Good luck!
Hello, I am 28 and a mother of 5 children I looking into getting a tummy tuck but I want my muscles repaired I was looking into a Mini Tummy tuck and came accross EXTENDED MINI TUMMY TUCK, where the doctor actually does a Full Tummy Tuck but with the small incision like a mini ? I havent had a cosultation yet but I just wanted to if this was heard of or if its something VERY new. Thanks Athen in VA
This isn't a standard term. I'm not sure what your surgeon means, exactly.
It might mean that he/she is planning a longer skin incision than usual, but only repairing things from the belly-button on down. Or it might mean something else altogether.
Better clarify that with your surgeon, and ask why this technique would be preferable in your particular case to a standard TT.
All the best,
I had my tummy tuck 3 days ago, and my belly button is very low, under my waist line. Will it adjust over the time? Thank you,
This is a problem that can occur if the belly button is not re-shifted back to its correct position with an umbilicoplasty, as in a full TT. If it doesn't correct with time and relaxation of your skin, you might need to have the surgeon do this at a later stage. Right now, though, it's too early to tell - give it a couple of months before deciding on this.
