Dr. Sylora is a premier female board-certified plastic surgeon in the Orlando, FL area. Her motivation is to build confidence by making people happy about who they are and looking their best. She spends time listening to your concerns, and working with you to understand the possibilities, and what it takes to get there.
My experience with Dr. Sylora and her practice was wonderful. Dr. Sylora is so professional and had my best interest at heart. She is so thorough in her explanation of what she can do to help me. She made the entire process easy for me to understand and comprehend. She is a wonderful doctor, but most important she is a great person and truly wanted to help me feel better about myself.
I had my surgery on May 12 2023. During my consultation, I was concerned about any deformities or size restrictions as my surgery was being covered by insurance. The day of my consultation, I walked in as a 34G at 5’1 and 130 pounds. Dr Sylora informed me we’d have to take off a certain amount of weight due to insurance restrictions. I did not want my breasts entirely gone, only smaller. She did inform me, my goal size of a 34C could not be guaranteed, as we may have to go smaller, but we could keep it as a goal. During my consultation, she walked me (and my husband) through the entire surgical process and where my scars would be, the possible outcomes, etc. She was extremely thorough and did her best to make me feel comfortable. Before I found Dr Sylora, I found many different doctors through this app, and immediately decided against them due to bad reviews and photos. On the day of surgery, Dr Sylora met up with me once more to make sure I was still comfortable with the amount taken off and still wanted a 34C. She showed me what it would look like on my body so I could truly picture it and I felt reassured. Today I am a little over 6 weeks post operative and I am a 34C. Exactly the goal, with healthy, normal looking breasts and could not be happier with my decision. Before you decide a surgery, truly do your research. Dr Sylora and her team did not disappoint whatsoever.
I've read so many stories on here which really brought me comfort in making the decision to move forward with my procedure. So I am returning the favor and documenting my journey as well. After losing 40 pounds in the last year, I suddenly looked upon my breasts in a disappointing manner. I always loved them. At the age of 51 I was still very happy with them. As I approached age 52 along with the weight loss, they were suddenly unrecognizable. Now I understand when women talk about their breasts being saggy and low and lack of volume. So I started to pursue ideas about how to remedy the situation and get myself back to where I have always seen myself. So these photos are from September 28, 2021, the night before my procedure, and the 29th the day of, September 30, and October 1, 2021. So I'm very early in my journey. I just had my procedure three days ago. I will continue to document my experience, and my recovery photos. My doctor was very adamant about me "staying ahead of the pain" and insisting that I keep with the medication schedule. She was absolutely right. Staying ahead of the pain makes a huge difference in your ability to function and not be uncomfortable. A few notes about my surgeon: she works with former cancer patients in reconstructing their bodies after cancer surgery, so she comes to you with a loving mindset and appreciation for one's suffering. I am not a cancer patient, but I thought that her affection for her patience would make a difference in how she treated me. And she is absolutely wonderful. She takes a ton of time to ensure that she understands exactly the end result you are looking for. If you want beach balls, she'll give you beach balls. If you want natural slope, she'll give you natural slope. She'll do whatever you want. The challenge is communicating exactly what you want, but once you tell her, you'll get exactly what you're asking for. She is absolutely phenomenal. I am not a particularly religious person, but she offered to pray with myself and my boyfriend right before I got wheeled into the OR. Her prayer comforted me and I wept a little bit knowing that I was in the absolute best hands. So I hope my documented journey here will provide some comfort and relief for anyone who reads it. I know it helped me a lot. Updated on 5 Oct 2021: DAY6, and I am off almost all of the pain medication except for ibuprofen and methocarbamol at night. I keep taking the anabiotic and the homeopathic approves healing medication, and everything is great. Tomorrow is day seven and I go in for my postop visit, and she will remove the Steri-Strips and assess where we are. I cannot be happier. Everything is healing as expected, there is considerable swelling on both sides but they both look symmetrical, and equally bruised, and the Steri-Strips are equally intact, so all is well. I’ve attached some updated pictures. Updated on 7 Oct 2021: Y’all, I took a picture of the vertical incision today, 10/7/2021, which is 8 days post-op, and you can HARDLY SEE IT! Dr. Roxanne Sylora is a genius!! I went in for my one week postop follow-up visit yesterday, and I had asked the nurse if my surgeon had taken any pictures or video during the procedure, and to my delight, the answer was yes! So she showed me a couple of pictures of some of the tissue that they removed. I was shocked and pleased at how much she took off in terms of the extra skin and tissue. Almost 12 oz on the right breast, and 9 oz on the left breast. I am absolutely ecstatic at the height and shape and slope, and volume. I’m especially ecstatic at the healing. Today again day eight, I took one ibuprofen. That’s it. Updated on 7 Oct 2021: Y’all it is day 8 Postop, and you can’t even see this vertical line/incision! Dr. Roxanne Sylora is absolutely incredible. The care she must’ve taken to make sure that this incision was tiny and well closed is so appreciated! Yesterday I went in for my one week postop follow-up visit, and my nurse was able to show me some of the pictures that were taken during my procedure. Yes I gave them permission before hand to take pictures. She removed almost 12 ounces from the right breast, and 9 ounces from the left breast. Absolutely amazing to see all of the tissue that was removed. She took a lot and I am so ecstatic! Today I took one ibuprofen and that was all. No other meds. I can’t say enough about how thrilled I am with the results, and the healing process. Updated on 20 Oct 2021: I cannot believe how amazing they look in Day 21 post op! Oct 20 2021. You can barely see any of the incisions, and she did such a fabulous job on the areola complex. The implants are starting to drop into place, and my breasts aren’t as boxy as they were a week ago. And I have a spray tan, not the old fake bake. Updated on 22 Oct 2021: I cannot get over how thin the incisions look! My surgeon made the areolas small, and not quite symmetrical, which I think makes him look more natural. I look like 25 again. I found these scar strips on Amazon. Updated on 7 Feb 2022: They are settling so nicely and they feel SO natural. The Incisions disappear more every day. I use the silicone scar tape, and the scar gel my surgeon provided daily. The effort is totally Worth it! It’s amazing how some are almost invisible.
I’m 25 years old and I have spent 5 years researching breast augmentation, and the last 2 years looking for the right surgeon. As soon as I saw Dr. Sylora’s work, I knew she was the one. Everyone at the office was super nice and helpful, especially Lori. I almost backed out of my consultation because I was so nervous, but Lori was the reason I didn’t. Lori is awesome, thanks Lori! Dr. Sylora and Jessie the Nurse Practitioner were very patient with me and my mom at my consultation. I couldn’t decide on the size and in the end went with Dr. Sylora’s judgment. I told her my goals and trusted her to make it happen. And she and the team totally did! When I walked into the OR, I was suddenly quite nervous but Dave the anesthesiologist and Monique the nurse put me at ease. The nurse who was with me before and after surgery was extremely kind as well, unfortunately I don’t remember her name because I was a little overwhelmed at the time. I’m writing this review 36 hours post op and I already love my results. I followed the pre op and post op instructions diligently and have had an easy recovery so far. I was prescribed narcotics but haven’t needed to take them. Apparently, my new boobies are only going to get better as the swelling decreases and my tissues stretch! They already look so nice, I’m stoked for the final results at 3 months! Age: 25 Height: 5’9.5” Weight: 144 lbs Pre-op bra size: 34 B Post-op bra size: ?? Implants: Natrelle Inspira SoftTouch Size: 310 cc left and right Location: dual plane (hybrid under/over muscle) Updated on 4 Jun 2021: Feeling good and looking great! I’ve regained full mobility and life has pretty much returned to normal. Still feeling some discomfort, but I’m managing it with Ibuprofen. Overall, I’d say that getting an IUD was more painful than getting a BA. Updated on 4 Jun 2021: Can’t believe my boobs are looking this good only 1 week post op. I’m glad I took my time researching and finding the right surgeon. I saw so many bad boob jobs, I almost gave up. I will continue to post updates. Updated on 10 Jun 2021: I went back to work this week (10 days post op) and I’m definitely feeling it. I’m a nurse and work can be physically demanding at times. Luckily, I adore my team and most of them know about my surgery so they were looking out for me. However, work can be unpredictable and there were a few times I acted on instinct and ended up straining my chest muscles a bit. My left boob especially started aching midway through shift 2 and I woke up this morning (shift 3) and it’s super swollen. It didn’t help that I may have slept on my left side last night. My nipples are also extremely sensitive! I haven’t taken Ibuprofen or anything this week because I was too distracted taking care of other people, but I’m off for the next 4 days so I’m going to relax. Updated on 24 Jun 2021: I am so happy with my boobs. :-) Before having the surgery, I was bracing myself to hate the results at first. I was mentally prepared to have a panic attack the first time I saw them, or occasionally feel regret. A month after surgery, I have loved every second of having implants! I spent 5 years going back and forth about whether or not I was going to do this, finally committed on a sudden impulse, and then almost backed out, so I’m surprised by how confident I am in my decision! I wouldn’t have changed a thing. The size is exactly what I wanted, and Dr. Sylora really did listen to me. I worried that having implants would cause me to feel like my boobs weren’t really my boobs anymore, but my boobs most definitely still feel like they’re mine! Just bigger. :-) Life is pretty much back to normal. I haven’t resumed rigorous exercise but have been hiking and enjoying most regular activities. My work performance is no longer hindered by my fear of getting hurt (and I look SOO cute in my scrubs now). My boyfriend loves them ahaha, and has pointed out that my boobs feel softer every week. Overall, I’m stoked on my boobs! Thanks Dr. Sylora! Updated on 23 Sep 2021: Posting my 3 month update a little late. :-) I’ve been too busy living my life, and I forgot about it! Things have totally gone back to normal. I’ve resumed my normal activity level, and in fact I’m running a half marathon in a couple weeks. I couldn’t be happier with my BOOBS. Dr. Sylora gave me exactly what I was hoping for! She is an excellent doctor who listens and understands your goals and brings them to life! I wanted a subtle enhancement that would make me feel more confident in a bikini, but wouldn’t draw unwanted attention or appear “fake.” She nailed it! Only drawback is the scarring, but I know that takes time to fade. If you are considering Dr. Sylora, I cannot recommend her and her team enough! I will post a 6 month update in December, unless my new tatas become so normal I’ve forgotten I even got them done LOL. Updated on 24 Sep 2021: More pictures for my 3 month update. :-) They are not hard at all, actually soft and squishy! They do bounce when I run, which is a new experience for me. I used to be able to jog without a bra! Wow. For some reason, I thought that I’d still be able to go braless since they’re fake, but nope!
Had a Gastric Sleeve in 2019 and after losing 110lbs I was left with flat, saggy B-cup sized breasts and an ugly, flabby abdomen. I had the Mommy makeover on 5-20-21. So far I'm doing ok. Mostly sore, not true pain. Dr. Sylora and her staff were amazing! Very attentive and made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire process. After Dr. Sylora "marked up my body" she prayed with me before we went in for surgery. The Anesthesiologist even called me the day before surgery to see if I have any questions. The entire office made sure that I was comfortable throughout the entire process. The Nurse called me the next day to see how I was doing and assured me that I could call her cell phone anytime day or night. So far I am taking it easy but already I have gotten up and went for a walk plus made myself breakfast this morning. I can't wait to see my final results! I highly recommend Dr. Sylora and her team. Updated on 20 Jun 2021: So I am 3 weeks post op and I already see such an amazing difference!! I highly recommend Dr. Roxanne Sylora especially is you are a Gastric Sleeve patient like myself!!
I've wanted a lift since my 20s but I'd always thought I'd have to get implants as well. Nothing against implants, I've just enjoyed smaller breasts and just wanted them to be perkier. After learning this wasn't the case, I made an appt with Dr. Sylora. From start to finish, I was made to feel like a VIP. Dr. Sylora has a warm, engaging bedside manner and her staff is phenomenal (Jessica in particular)! The procedure was a breeze and three months out, I'm SO happy with the results. 110% recommended Dr. Sylora. Updated on 26 Sep 2020: Updated on 26 Sep 2020:
Doctor Sylora and her whole team were amazing! Super inviting and listens to your wants and needs. She took her time in showing me different sizes and provided exactly what I want. Her surgical coordinator Lori was beyond amazing. So down to earth and friendly. I highly recommend Dr.Sylora and her team! Can't wait for July 16th!
I have delivered 5 children...so 22 years later, no part of my body was as it was when I started. I had a mommy makeover with Dr. Sylora in October, 2019. I am 6 months post surgery and just LOVE my results. I had a tummy tuck, with no muscle tightening, liposuction to my flank area, and breast augmentation. From the beginning Dr. Sylora was kind and very patient. She helped me in choosing breast size, not pushing too big or too small. She wanted me to envision the ideal image I had for myself and she was determined to help me get those results. On surgery day, she offered to pray with me to settle any nerves. One week after surgery, still swollen, I cried when my initial bandages were removed, I had a belly button again and it was cute! I loved my results from the beginning and now 6 months later, I am just thrilled with how everything looks. My breast are so natural in appearance that not one person is able to tell I have had an augmentation. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Sylora!! She is one of a kind personally and professionally!!!
I have had the pleasure of having surgery performed by Dr Sylora on two occasions. Tummy tuck, breast augmentation and back lift, the team are amazing and the care I received was exceptional. I am so happy with the results overall and the care from everyone! Dr Sylora is so personable and really cares about her patients.
I have always been small, both in bra size and in overall stature. I am 28, have had one child and breast feed and pumped for 8 months. I am 5’3 118 pounds and use to wear a 32 b. I did my research extensively, I am a nurse myself and wanted to ensure my best and safest result. I stumbled across the IDEAL implant a year ago and was intrigued by its hybrid like implant, Saline filled but will feel and act like a silicone due to the shell of the implant. The only problem with the ideal implants is there availability in my area. I am from upstate New York and the closest areas were either across the border in Canada or driving to the city (6 Hour Drive) so I did some looking and found a board certified, well reviewed surgeon who is located in Florida. Since I thought it would be a great idea to go on vacation and recuperate in the sunshine versus up here in the winter tundra I made the journey to Florida. I met with Dr. Roxann Sylora at the Institute of aesthetic‘s and loved her!! she’s very experienced and well known for her breast reconstruction and breast implants. I called the office and spoke with their coordinator Cheryl who I absolutely loved , The customer service at this Institute has been phenomenal. I went for my breast augmentation on March 19 and I’m currently two weeks postop. I did get my ideal implants of 375 CCs. The surgery went well, something that was PRO to me was the fact I wasn’t going to be put completely under with anesthesia, instead they use M AC, so essentially I was not completely under and was able to not be placed on a ventilator. I now am two weeks postop and think this procedure was worth every penny and it worth years of saving for. Now I will say that the ideal implants were more costly than both saline and silicone, the ideal implants cost me about 1300 $ more than the silicones but do appear to be much safer in retrospect, and I was able to purchase an insurance on them which covered a lot of complications postop including infection, blood clots, Capsular contracture, and with my track record that give me peace of mind . I already feel more confident with my body and I can’t wait for the rest of the hearing process to occur, of course there are the general downside of surgery...the extreme soreness (I would say it feels like you did the craziest chest day of exercise ever), tightness is still there. My chest also did feel very heavy initially like I had a stack of books on top of my chest, but day by day that’s been better. I’ve already seen changed my implants they have been becoming more softer and appear slightly lower. Overall I am just thrilled with my results!!!!
Its definitely possible for implants to flip. People who sleep on their stomach or side are more probe to implants flipping than others. If you lean forward you can try to flip it and see if the shape improves. But It’s best to have an in person evaluation with your surgeon.
Final results for almost any surgical procedure can take several months to a year to be fully seen. In the meantime, if you are unhappy or worried about your results, you should go back to your surgeon and discuss your concerns. Flat cheeks can easily be addressed by fillers or fat if needed, and this may reduce the fullness you notice in your jaw line.
It depends on what your mommy makeover involves, and what you have to start with. If you are doing a tummy tuck, you will have scars. How nicely the scar heals has a lot to do with your genetics and your skin quality. No matter what, the scars are permanent. How visible they are has to do with your skin and healing. That's also true for whatever breast surgery you have. Long term effects from any surgery, including breast surgery can include scars, numbness, shape changes. Implants, if used, may need to be followed to make sure they are not leaking or causing other issues. In general, there are minimal bad long term effects to any of these procedures, hence their popularity.Speak to a plastic surgeon certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery to get more of your concerns addressed if needed.
Based on your photos, you may be a great candidate for a minimally invasive treatment using radiofrequency energy known as faceTite. It usually involves 2-3 small access points in the neck region and a small probe is inserted underneath the skin and it heats it internally. This one time treatment can generate collagen as well as tighten the skin. It can also melt fat as well. We have treated patients with a similar appearance to you who have gotten great results! It is best to be evaluated in person, and radiofrequency energy requires your body to respond adequately to the stimulation generated from the energy applied, so it is difficult to guarantee results, but we have very few patients who don't see results.
These small areas can open a bit after a tummy tuck but can go on to heal normally. It may take more time to heal, but this is what we often call “delayed wound healing”. It may be best to try to cover this area when showering, as sometimes tap water can have some bacteria that like to live in this area and can make it take longer to heal. Be sure to follow up with your surgeon to get this to heal as quickly as possible. Sometime if the surgeon removes or cleans the wound by removing stuff the body doesn’t want, it can heal faster.
