Is Aura Laser Better than Medlite C6 for Removing Freckles?

I decided to try medlite c6 for freckles. called doctor, and she told me that she wont do that laser for freckles, cause of possible scarring, hypopigmentation etc (I am very white skin, bunch of light freckles). she recomended different office. they will gladly do aura laser on me. I sayd OK, scheduled app, and went home to read online- just to find out,,that if i have it right both lasers are ktp and do ~530 and 580nm. Are they the same thing???Should i do this aura laser? Please, help!

A: Medlite 6 may give you a faster result

Medlite 6 is very effective for removal of facial lentigines. The Aura lase takes more treatments, but may be associated with less downtime

How Can I Find a Good Therapist for Poikiloderma? (photo)

I know laser can be dangerous in the wrong hands. How do I find someone in my area (Liverpool). I have this nasty looking rash on the sides of my neck and jaw. It's on my face too but not as noticeable. I would to find a way of getting rid of it. This happened after a holliday a couple of years ago in a very hot country. Even tho I always use a high sun factor. I am blonde and fair skinned. Thanks

A: The best treatment for poikilodema is the Pulsed Dye Laser.

The laser clears the redness very fast. Pigmentation is improved dramatically, sometimes we can use bleaching topicals to enhance the results

Can Laser Resurfacing Cause Acne Breakouts?

I've had 3 pixel laser sessios done and have experienced breakouts afterwards. My derm told me it has nothing to do with the procedure, but I had never had acne before on my left cheek and when I peeled after my first session I had quite a few pimples and it was quite a shock... the worst episode took place 5 days after my last session: 2 huge cysts popped there (on my left cheek) out of nowhere, and now I'm left with 2 very nasty icepick scars... Is it possible that laser triggered my acne?

A: Common, but temporary

Yes, due to the common use of ointments after resurfacing, pores can become plugged such that milia and acne can form/flare. If it is a severe outbreak antibiotics are given. Topical antibiotics are also useful, but may irritate the brand new skin.
