After completing General Surgery training, I subsequently moved to Sacramento to finish my Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 2009. After finishing residency at UC-Davis, I joined a large organization with Mercy Medical Group and had a very busy Reconstructive and Cosmetic Practice. In the spring
Great experience since day one! The staff is very sweet! I had a mommy make over, even though I’m not fully healed yet, the results thus far are amazing & life changing! Thank you Dr. Sweat & your team!
I had gone to Dr. Sweat for a consultation 3 years ago. I’ve wanted implants for a long time but was very nervous about it. I had three children and nursed over five years so my sad bags needed all the help they could get. After the first time I went and saw him, I went and saw one other surgeon and then decided to wait and lose more weight. Second time I went and saw Dr. Sweat (which was about a year and a half later) he was amazing! He spent a lot of time with me answering a lot of questions and listening to my concerns. I wanted to checkout a couple other surgeons to be 100 percent sure he was the surgeon for me. Three years from the first time I saw him I decided I was going to do it and I thought Dr. sweat was the best fit. My surgery was scheduled for October 5th 2023. There was some bumps in the road days leading up to my surgery as a important member of their surgical team was sick and we had to reschedule a few times in like 2 days to work around what they could do and what I could arrange to work. I ended up having the surgery in the afternoon on October 4th 2023. My surgery was pretty quick I think about 2.5 hours for a lift and implants. Dr. Sweat really listened to what size I wanted. Eight days after my surgery I did get an infection which was very painful. Irina which is the nurse practitioner at Dr. Sweats office was amazing. She was calling and checking in on me often they were seeing me in office a lot and really on top of making sure that infection was healing properly. Flash forward to 6weeks out which I am today my breast look amazing. I’m so happy I did it. The boost of confidence it’s giving me has really changed me in a good way. I would recommend his office it’s very clean and Irina is one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. Dr. sweat really knows what he’s doing and I would choose him as my surgeon over and over again. Updated on 29 Dec 2023: I will be three months post op on January 4th and here is a little update. Boobs are healing very nice they don’t bother me anymore. Scars are looking good. Very happy with how they are forming into the pockets
Dr.Sweat and his team took their time to get me well acquainted with my procedure and had wonderful bedside manor. I couldn’t have picked a better team and an excellent surgeon! Thank you to this amazing team!
I've scheduled my surgery!! I reached out to J Sweat Plastics for a zoom consult some months back (February 2023); I live an hour away so didn't want to drive for the in person consult. Since reaching out it's been a breeze. Christine (patient coordinator) did my consult & was so informative & professional. I looked a hot mess during my zoom consult (son skipped nap time) but Christine made me feel super comfortable. She took her time answering my questions & going over the whole process; procedure, payment, etc. After the consult she sent an email filled with information, quote and surgical plan from Dr. J Sweat. As well as suggestions for post op bras (cheap & more comfortable than the one supplied). I've since contacted her several times with any questions & she's always so sweet & speedy with responses. She made making my payments easy & I didn't feel at all pressured which I really liked, because it's a big decision to make. With all that said I booked!! I had already been stalking all platforms I could think of that has reviews/posts/pics of Dr. Sweat's work, so I've seen he does amazing work. And although I didn't consult with him in person I caught a good vibe from his TikTok/IG videos, I cannot wait for my Pre - Op & to meet Dr. sweat. I'm so excited!! I'll post updates when the time comes...... Updated on 6 Jul 2023: I’m so excited and nervous for the recovery but 6 days can’t come soon enough!! I had my pre op with Dr. Sweat; which went well, his office is so beautiful inside. His staff were all super nice. He is doing a lollipop lift with 440cc ultra high profile sientra implants. I’m so happy I found him after several other plastic surgeons in the Bay Area telling me I’d require an anchor breast lift which is more scaring and can leave a funny shape sometimes (according to google, but I do see what they mean) Anyway I’ll post before and afters soon. :) Updated on 13 Jul 2023: I am currently one day postop, last night was pretty rough to be honest, getting out of bed to use the bathroom and walk around was so painful & my chest feels so tight. I just had my first postop appointment which went quick and everything looks good. The entire staff at J sweat are so nice it was really comforting to have every person i interacted with be so sweet and accommodating. Updated on 14 Jul 2023: Its day 2 post op. Ive taken only ibuprofen so far today. So thats good, I just feel a lot of tightness and sore. But have been up and moving; went to whole foods. Also took my first post op shower which was terrifying but so needed. Its hard to say I’m happy with the results just yet cause they’re still healing. But they are so symmetrical already i love that and i am extremely hopeful for the final results:) my whole experience so far at J sweat Plastics was great. Updated on 17 Jul 2023: Im 5 days post op. The days are going pretty slow. At this point 6 weeks feels like forever. Anyway I haven’t taken norco in like 2 days and only take 2 ibuprofen after naps (i wake up a bit sore) I called into the office today and asked them to look at my healing (via pics) so far since i don’t go in till the 2 week mark and they more than happy to do that immediately which was nice. I see alot of swelling has already went down when looking at day 1 post op pics to todays. Updated on 18 Jul 2023: 6 days pot op. No pain meds yesterday or today so far. At night i do take Valium because they start to feel really tight and extra extra firm - discomfort. Thats all so far. Dr Sweat and his team did a beautiful job so far it seems and they are so accommodating. Updated on 22 Jul 2023: Not sure why it’s cropping my photos weird. Anyway 10 days post op. I feel great during the day some sore stiffness on and off at times. But not terrible. Nights is another story, I prop myself up on my tv pillow or a stack of pillows and somehow always wake up laying almost flat and soooo sore from i guess the weight of new implants. Anyway that’s my update. I feel like they are going to settle beautifully. Im so happy I decided to make the 1.5 hour drive to J sweat plastics. Updated on 22 Aug 2023: I’m 6 weeks post op. I feel free basically back to Normal. Pretty sure the whole drop & fluff hasn’t happened but they have settled nice so far can’t wait for 3 months post op Updated on 8 Sep 2023: I’m 8 weeks 2 days post op. My boobs are getting softer and more natural feeling. Scaring is minimal from what I see:) using my scare cream daily now that was provided by J sweat plastics. I couldn’t be happier. 440cc ultra huh profile. Oh and I can feel both nipples just fine:) Updated on 4 Jul 2024: Love my boobs. My confidence has skyrocketed since surgery. Thanks again j sweat plastics. I also have done a facial there which was amazing. And I continue to get lip fillers there a well.

My journey with J Sweat has been a long one. I came in for a consult in early 2018 back at their old location. During that time I had Kybella done along with some fillers. That was a great experience and the staff was always so supportive and kind. Fast forward to October of last year, I finally took the plunge and went in for an extended tummy tuck, lift, and liposuction to multiple areas. Dr. Sweat is succinct and no nonsense, he sets realistic expectations from the start, whether or not if its what you want to hear, though he was kind in his delivery. Because of this I knew what to generally expect and I got just that. I "interviewed" and consulted with doctors from the Bay Area to Los Angeles, and with Dr. Sweat I felt like he was the only one that was not trying to fill my head with unrealistic outcomes. The appointments where I did get to see Dr. Sweat were at the necessary points of this process- I felt like it was what was appropriate and I was always greeted with a smile. With all of that being said, my outcome was so much better than I anticipated. I deal with some chronic illnesses and I was not at my goal weight (I knew before ever stepping into a consult that tummy tucks, etc. are NOT for weight loss), but I walked away with a body I had only ever dreamed of (I don't even look at or use a scale anymore, because I love how I look so much and am only focused on toning and building my strength back up) . Since these changes I've been able to be much more active and the progress has been amazing- physically, emotionally, and mentally. In regards to his staff, there are not enough words to explain how amazing they are. You go into these scenarios expecting to be heard, but more often than not this isn't the case, but his staff REALLY truly listens. They are knowledgable and incredibly accessible post surgery, I never felt like I was on my own in navigating post op recovery. If I was worried about something, they'd get me on the books asap and were always there to answer any questions I had. During post op appointments, I felt like they shared in my joy and were cheering me on. My experience was an amazing one, I'm a client for life!
I’ve been wanting my breast augmentation forever since I was 16 year old , now that I’m 34 I’m happy that I waited till I got mine done in my 30s than in my 20s with the best products out there now. I feel that I made the right choice of Doctor and Staff that would go through this wonderful experience with. Dr Sweat and his Staff are amazing, they treat you like family, nice and they go beyond to help you in anyway. I’ve done my researched and gone to 5-6 different consultation till I knew who I wanted to trust my body with and that’s with Dr Sweat and his Staff. I had my best experience with them and I’m happy with my choice.
I've been wanting a tummy tuck for years but never thought it would turn out well so I'm on the bigger side. I finally decided to buy the bullet and see what could be done. The moment I walked in the staff at Dr Sweat's office were welcoming and warm. I met with the coordinator Tiffeny and she was amazing at letting me know what they thought was best for me. I was quoted for a tummy tuck and lipo together or a lower body lift. She felt that a lower body lift would be more beneficial and dr sweat agreeded. Although more expensive I wanted the best turnout so I this what I went with. After booking my app, I met with dr sweat 3 weeks before. He was very kind and honest on what he could accomplish with my body type. I felt comfortable and excited for the procedure. The day of the procedure I was so nervous but everyone was kind and helped me relax, from the nurses to the anesthesiologist. After the procedure I woke up and went home for recovery. I could never really fully picture my results and was so worried it wouldn't turn out what I wanted. But I have to say it has exceeded my expectations. I could not be happier, I've cried with joy and excitement at my new body. I've never felt more confident in the way I look. Could not recommend Dr Sweat and his staff enough. They have changed my life. If you were ever on the fence, don't be! Listen to them and what they recommend for you, I'm so glad of the decision I made and will never regret it.
I had the surgery yesterday morning. The staff was awesome. I’m in pain. And my implants are extremely high in my armpits I know they won’t stay there all in all I love them. I can’t wait to see the final results. Updated on 24 Dec 2020: I know it’s only been two weeks since I’ve had surgery I’m so ready to see my final results my scar Are looking good but my implants are still really high. When I took my strips off my nipples I was a little shocked to see how small my nipples were I’m sure they might expand as my implants drop still have a little aching but not too much pain Updated on 29 Dec 2020: I went in for my doctor appointment today it’s been 19 days since my operation they are still pretty high in my armpits but he said the healing is going wonderful and I just need to relax I am still uncomfortable I feel like the implant is in my armpit he does not want to start bands or Massage until after Jesus but I look like at six weeks Updated on 8 Jan 2021: I went In for my one month Post opp appointment, so my implants are still pretty high he started me on the band and showed me how to do some massage which surprisingly is extremely hard and not relaxing at all. They took some sutures out oh yeah he told me I can’t wear a bra for the next two weeks to help my boobs drop... and I have to go back to work tomorrow after being off for four weeks. I ordered some silicone nipple covers so at least everybody can’t see my nipples.. Updated on 11 Jan 2021: This is more of a question. Does your period still make your boobs sore after a boob job... my boobs are killing me I have been using the band for 3 days and I’m due to start my cycle Wednesday. So I don’t know if it’s the band that’s hurting or if it’s Hormones? Updated on 25 Jan 2021: It has been a little over six weeks and I am still not dropping went to my doctors appointment my right breast is having a hard time wanting to drop so now I’m doing a compression band with a thick pad underneath it pushing more pressure down on my breast the doctor said if it does not drop by eight weeks it might not drop at all which would mean a revision surgery in nine months to a year that freaks me out I don’t want lopsided boobs all summer doing my best to stay positive and focus on massage Updated on 10 Feb 2021: So I am 9 weeks post opp. Life is getting back to normal. I went to the doctors last week he says everything is going great that I should not worry about my right breast not dropping like the left one, he says the difference is so small that he would not do A revision surgery. I on the other hand would like it to drop more . The implant feels deeper in me and up high. I like my boobs but I so badly want to love them. The doctor told me to stop wearing the compression band. Updated on 15 Feb 2021: Here is a little information on the type of implant I picked. It is called sientra silicone gel breast implants Free implant replacement of implant ruptures 20 years of the $5000 for uncovered fees and cost of implant rupture 20 year free implant replacement for a capsular contraction late forming Seroma And two years up to $2000 for uncovered fees and costs due to capsular contraction breakage leaking Updated on 19 Feb 2021: So today when I got out of the shower I noticed a little red dot on my incision line. When I looked closer I noticed it is a small hole. When I pushed on it a little blood came out. There is no pain because I have no feeling there. Does anyone know what this is. I’ll call my doctor tomorrow Updated on 20 Feb 2021: Had some request for before picture.. man o man what a change. Best decision I ever made. I love my new self image and self confidence can’t wait for summer to get a tan on these puppies and help the scars fade Updated on 13 Mar 2021: three months and loving it, I have definitely gotten use to them they feel apart of me now. I do find myself thinking lately that I sound have gone bigger.. but I’m happy with the size I am. My right one still sits a little funny inside me , it high and looks smaller from the top view. I’m working on my scars now. Think I need to do some Topless sunbathing to really feed them out Updated on 19 May 2021: five months and and loving it.... filling out a Bathing suit for the first time in my life. My right one is still a little higher then the other and they are still two different sizes but that is how it has always been Updated on 25 Jun 2021: I went in for my 6 month check up two weeks ago he said everything is doing great and they look amazing one nipple is a little higher than the other but all in all they look good. And the best part is I feel good they are definitely a part of me now. And dam do i fill out my tops...
I finally got boobs! I am post-op 3 years from a BA. I am happy with my size and results, however I wish I would have gotten a lift. I liked his office and staff how they were able to get me in fast. Dr. Sweat is a nice guy, and knows a lot about reconstructive surgery. He is humorous, and Confident, however I know some people will take it wrong. I liked him but did feel he was rude after surgery with my concerns. I was unhappy with the placement of my breast. I did 695cc under the muscle. After a year they settled nicely, I just wish they were more close together and my girls had a lift.
As you can see from the drawing that you have provided on the inferior T abdominoplasty, the area that is excised resembles a fleur de lis design (if the lines were slightly curved outward rather than straight) which is why we call this type of procedure a fleur de lis abdominoplasty (FDL TT). You have severe stretch marks that extend higher on your abdomen than most, but this does not necessitate a FDL TT. You appear to be a great candidate for a traditional abdominoplasty. Some have suggested "floating" your belly button to avoid external scars or recreating the belly button at a later date, both of which seem like a bad idea which will only give you an unnatural appearance with time. You will be well served by a traditional tummy tuck with a low scar that can be hidden in a bikini, anything beyond that, based on your pics, will only inhibit your long-term result. Best of luck!
Thank you for your intriguing question. The most common time that women notice hearing sloshing sounds or air bubbles is immediately after a breast augmentation with saline implants, especially if a small amount of air is left with the saline in an implant (with time it will absorb and go away). However, you have silicone implants and no real reason to hear a sloshing sound unless you were to have traumatized a breast and have some fluid/blood collected around the implant, but you would notice bruising, soreness, and potentially a size difference. The altitude you were exposed to is roughly the same air pressure as that of an airplane cabin at 36000 feet. Thousands of women with breast implants are exposed to this daily during the course of air travel and do not develop air pockets around the implants. You may have to have a plastic surgeon, preferably your original surgeon, take a look to make sure nothing is wrong with your breasts and implants, but you may also have to see your primary care doc to dig deeper and look for other causes if the problem persists. Best of luck!
Thank you for your question. It makes sense that you are concerned about the difference in volume and you ask very intelligent questions about base diameter and projection. However, I would suggest that you leave those decisions in the capable hands of your surgeon. I do not allow my patents to choose projection or base width since those are numbers that I understand and make sense to me based on years of experience. Depending on your breast shape a higher profile may make more sense if your smaller breast is wider and flatter versus a narrower more projected natural breast is going to require a wider base width to compensate for the shape issue. So, as you might guess, it's really not a simple answer and a physical exam would go great lengths in helping to answer your question. Keep in mind that the breast with more volume is going to compensate for the difference in base width and/or projection due to the additional overlying tissue, so in all likelihood, either choice would be fine. Ultimately, few if any women achieve perfect symmetry, especially when starting markedly asymmetric, so it is important to expect that your breasts are going to look much better but still will not have perfect symmetry. Best of luck!
I can certainly understand your hesitation with the scars that are associated with a breast lift, but given your nipple position in the photos as well as your asymmetry between the two breasts, I think you would have a much better result if you were to proceed with a lift along with the implants. Remember that you are doing the operation to achieve breasts that are most aesthetically pleasing and while scars are always best avoided, sometimes they are necessary to achieve the results you want. While you would be able to do an augmentation alone and return for a lift later if you are not happy, based on your pics I think a lift with the augmentation as a single stage operation would be much more likely to give you the results you seek. Remember you can always get more opinions with an exam in person which can help you make your decision. Best of luck!
As long as your overall health is good, which it sounds to be, then you should be fine having a lower body lift. It seems that you have gained only about 7 pounds with the hormones you mentioned, and it's possible that a LBL could remove that much weight, but it should not be considered a weight loss surgery. I always recommend that patients be at their ideal weight prior to surgery but I doubt that the loss of 7 pounds after surgery if you were to do so would have a significant effect on your postoperative results. It's most important that you be happy with the way your body looks more than the absolute number of how much you weigh. Best of luck!
