A: Ah, you must have read the recent article on the “$500K Facelift”. Price is more about reputation and marketing than it is about the quality of the surgery. Surgery is still surgery with all its risks and potential complications. Don’t think the high price removes any of that. Price is defined as what someone is willing to pay. So if there are individuals willing to pay half a million for a facelift, can’t blame the surgeon. It’s called supply and demand. The truth is there are many great surgeons who perform excellent facelifts that don’t charge that obscene figure. Ask around, look at before and after pics, do research. Most important, be specific what you want done, and then find a specialist in just that. Can be plastic surgeon or facial plastic surgeon or cosmetic surgeon. Experience is what matters most. A: Asymmetry is a challenging problem. Seek out an experienced oculoplastic surgeon who specializes in eyelid rejuvenation. A canthopexy , lid tightening procedure, may be the procedure for you. This can be done just on one side, but be prepared to be told you may need both sides treated. All the best!
A: Your photos show that you may have residual deep neck fat and enlarged submandibular glands that contribute to the bulging appearance. Follow up with your plastic surgeon and ask if he/she would consider re-exploring your neck. Alternatively, seek out an experienced surgeon who specializes in neck lifts to evaluate you. A: Thank you for the question. You do have skin laxity, and that’s not unusual particularly if you’re on the thinner side. When one is thin, loose skin can be a problem. A lower face and neck lift is the only way to redrape and tighten your skin. Energy devices from Ulthera to Renuvion or SkinTite won’t tighten the skin to the degree you want. Consult with a an experienced face surgeon and discuss your options. If you’re open to surgery and incisions around your ears, you can achieve a very nice result and rejuvenated neck. All the best!
A: Based on your pictures, you have laxity of the lower face, early jowls, and loose neck skin and fat. A lower face and neck lift with liposuction and platysmaplasty will redefine your neck and jawlines. Your eyes are beautiful and need no work at this time in my opinion.
