The cost can vary but we tend to charge between 6-8$ per FUE and between 3-4 for strip grafts. I think patients should focus on the talent and experience of the surgeon more than the cost as the results are dependent on the doctors experience.

Follicular Unit Transplant (FUT) is a process where a thin strip of hair is taken from a donor site on the scalp and the donor site is surgically closed. Hair from above the incision covers the area so that the scar is not visible. The donor strip is then placed under a microscope and dissected into individual follicular units of one to four hairs. Recipient sites are created with a small instrument and individual follicular units are placed into these tiny openings.This process aesthetically improves the density of existing hair, lowers the hairline or fills in balding areas, producing a very natural appearance.

The cost of hair transplant varies from $4-7 per follicular unit or graft placed. Today's hair transplants are remarkable and provide a very natural result when performed by an experienced surgeon. One should be careful though when searching for your surgeon as some hair transplant surgeons have no true surgical experience and have just added this to their family practice or dermatology practice without true surgical experience or training in sterile technique. Just make sure to check the credentials of your surgeon.
