I had a rhinoplasty done about 2 years ago to correct my broken nose and other issues with the cartilage resulting from the break healing poorly. I am happy with the bridge but the dropped columella and tip bother me. I think the surgeon made a mistake, but i went back twice already with my concern and he refuses to address it. I have recently put a call into him about a week ago and he has not called back. My nose looks normal in person but in a picture it is clearly noticeable.
I agree w/ Dr. Fleming. 2 years is more than sufficient time for swelling, etc. to resolve. At this point in the post-operative period, I feel you should probably discuss a revision. I would try and contact your surgeon again and give him/her one last shot at trying to see if they are comfortable and willing to revise your nose. If you do not feel comfortable, seek out another opinion.
I had a revision surgery 5 mths ago, after breaking my right alar cartillage soon after the 1st one,3 years before.2 weeks after 2nd surgery,I pressed the right side slightly while cleaning with a cotton bud,and a round discolouration appeared.2 mths later, after massaging,an inflammation occured and subsided after antibiotic treatment.Since then the discolouration is very apparent and not fading.I feel slight stinging/burning at times.I wonder what is causing this and will it resolve? Many thanks.
If you are referring to the red patch as "discoloration", that is the results of broken capillaries (small blood vessels) on the skin. Laser treatments would reduce these.
Best of luck,
I had a nose job a few years back on Harley Street to remove the bump, and I'm largely happy with it. One side of it however, is very slightly bulbous. It only notices from a very specific angle, but bothers me - is there any that can be done?
There are so many possibilities, that without photos, it would be almost impossible to give an opinion. Please send standard rhinoplasty photos.
