Hello! I'm getting surgery in a month and I'm not sure about the size yet. My main objective is to obtain the most natural look. I am 170cm, my bra size is 80A or 32A, chest contour 76cm and breast contour 82cm. I'm planning to get 140cc or 175cc under the muscle, anatomicals but now I'm worried that they might look to separate o like two tennis balls in my chest. What do you think? I just want to get a size bigger and don't want to get big breasts, just my size but fuller!
Thank you for your question. Smaller implants are definitely more natural than larger implants. Implants under the muscle also tend to be more natural and round implants tend to look more natural than 'anatomical' implants. Silicone gel implants tend to feel more natural than saline implants, particularly in patients who have very little breast tissue to cover up the implants. The size that you have chosen should look very natural and will likely only take you up one cup size. Good luck with your surgery.
I'm 18, 5'1", 112 lbs. I'm naturally a B cup and I'm considering saline breast implants to become a D cup. Should I go for under or over the muscle and would it cause the chances of the implant to rupture more one way?
Thank you for your question. There is no difference in rupture rates under the muscle vs on top of the muscle. There are a variety of problems with implants on top of the muscle including a less natural feel, less natural appearance unless you have a lot to cover up the implant, more rippling, a higher risk of capsular contracture and they get in the way more when getting a mammogram. You are very petite based on your height and weight. A D cup is probably rather large for your body type and I doubt that it would look very natural. Make sure that you see a board certified plastic surgeon.
Hello .... I am having my surgery for breast implants in 3 weeks. I understand that for 6 weeks you have to wear a sports bra. If have a night out planned within that 6 weeks can I wear a low cut, front closure, no-wire sports type bra? So that way I can wear something cute to show my cleavage a bit? Or do i need to focus on wearing high collared shirts for the first 6 weeks? Thanks :o)
The instructions that I give my patients is to wear a comfortable, supportive, non-underwire bra for 5-6 weeks after surgery. I see no problem with wearing a low-cut, front closure, no-wire type sports bra that shows a little cleavage within a few weeks of surgery but make sure that it is OK with your surgeon. Good luck with your surgery!
