I Have Always Had Beautiful Breasts with Normal Size Nipples. Now That I'm in my Late 40's I have some sagging but my nipples are HUGE! They're the same size but I've even tried to cover then up with bandaids. I Thank God everyday I have my healthy breasts but this nipple problem has definately caused me some distress. Especially when gentlemen gawk at them. Thank You for any input I recieve.
Correcting prominent nipples is a relatively quick and easy procedure. It is usually done in the office using local anesthetic with a recovery period of about 5-7 days. I have found that my patients are very satisfied with their results and are grateful for how easy and simple the procedure was. Good luck.
is it fairly quick and inexpensive to have an areola reduction? and is it ok to do before getting pregnant again? or should it be done after im all done with having kids?
So if you want poor work, unsightly results, and scars that get worse as your breasts swell with pregnancy and breast feeding, go ahead and find someone who does quick, cheap work. You really don't mean that, do you? You really mean the best possible result for the least cost needed to get that outcome?
Since the areola scars will indeed stretch with additional pregnancy, as will your breast skin, there is a distinct possibility that you may need a breast lift (mastopexy) after another one or more pregnancies. So having any surgery, however fast and cheap, that will be completely redone (and more) with a periareolar, lollipop, modified, or full Wise-pattern mastopexy seems an ill-advised waste to me. If you were able to convince me that it is only a theoretical possibility that you might have another baby, and that you really want to proceed with an areolar reduction now, I could see it appropriate to proceed, but I would be skilled, careful, precise, and take whatever time it took to do my best work. I would be reasonable in my charges, but not "cheap!"
I have two extra nipples. I have had them since I was born and I hate them. I can wear swimsuits with nice tops because they show they are right below my original ones.
I'm now 17 and want to remove them. Are there home remedies? I heard wart remover works? And if not, I have insurance. Will it cover it and will it hurt? Thanks so much.
Often, accessory (extra) nipples look like a mole, and are often mistaken for this. Occasionally, the accessory nipples can have areolas and look similar to your real nipple/areola complexes. There can even be breast tissue present beneath the accessory nipples that could swell with pregnancy and breast feeding. Thus, other than not liking the appearance, there are several good reasons to have your extra nipples removed surgically by an expert plastic surgeon. The scars will be permanent, and the size of the scar depends on the size of the extra nipples and any areola surrounding them. Local anesthesia is used, and the scars will fade over several months. With good plastic surgical technique and time, these scars are almost certain to be better that having those extra nipples you hate! Best wishes.
