I have been getting Botox for about 4 years and everything has been great. This time when I got it, it made my one eyelid look like it was a double eyelid (kind of baggy). However, I thought I noticed that my eyelid needed a lift before I went this time, but now it's worse. And both my eyes are baggy in the corners. Both my eyes feel heavy. I'm 40 years old but never had any of these problems before. Will this go away when the Botox is out? Did she give me too much??
I have been using Botox since the 1990's when everyone wanted a "frozen forehead'-without a line or crease. But the trend quickly shifted to a softer, non- paralyzed look in the forehead.
If you have a tall forehead or already have heaviness in the upper eyleids, I recommend treating the frown lines and crow's feet before the forehead, to minimize the brow droop.
I'm 29 years old and have deep vertical lines between eyebrows. I went to a dermatologist not long ago, and pointed it out. She said some overweight people accumulate fat above the eyebrows, and that maybe if I lost weight the lines would diminish. She doesn't offer fillers, so maybe that's why she said that. But my lines are deep "11s". They are embarrassing, and I'm still nursing my son once a day so Botox seems scary. Would Juvederm help? I hear it's safe as it's naturally in our skin.
The muscles, called the corrugators, around the 11's are huge. If you contract them, you will see how wide they spread across your forehead. Once you have stopped breast feeding, have them injected with an adequate amount of xeomin or botox, then see how well the 11's smooth out. They will probably soften nicely. If not, a repeat dose and ultimately a small bit of filler may be necessary. All the best, "Dr Joe"
I had botox injected between my eye brows and just above my eyebrows just 24 hours ago, I have noticed that my left eye above my lid has some drooping going on, so what could be the problem ?
You may have some swelling from the injection or bleeding around the injection area because botulinum does not have such a rapid onset. Try some ice and see your doctor during office hours. All the best, "Dr. Joe"
