I am a 30 yr old woman who is an average weight. Even at my skinniest (size zero) I've always had a double chin but I notice it's bigger when I'm heavier. My doctor advised against liposuction, saying the problem was excess tissue, not fat. Thermage was recommended instead. I'm hesitant to try Thermage because many reviews say it was expensive and didn't work. Judging from the photo I've attached would I be a good candidate for chin liposuction or Thermage? Thanks!
Neck contouring where fatty deposits reside has proven the test of time, and even when a very small amount of fat is removed the results can be striking. Thermage has been tried in many practices and the results we have seen have been discouraging. In comparison liposuction would get our vote.

I'm 35. Had lipo neck and chin a week ago. I thought the doc would say he didn't take enough fat, but he and the nurses were delighted at my results and said in 3 months I will look like a different person with a firm neckline without the double chin. While I was glad to hear, inside I feel down cause I still look the same. Still have double chin and fat neck. He removed over 200 cc's. Wanting other's opinion since we are our own worst critics, will it firm by 3 months or do I need more taken?
The chin and neck will take more than one week as the swelling has just peaked after three days. Bruising will remain for three weeks more. Your results look just fine so you should relax, rest and follow your surgeons recovery plan.

I had sub-mental liposuction a year ago, and the doctor took out too much fat in the area at the base (where neck meets jaw) and there is a triangle area which is depressed and was hard to photograph, basically it looks like a hole as if someone's thumb is pressing up and people have commented on it, also now my glands are more visible. Could a fat transfer fix this? It's just the one area. Should the surgeon who did it try to fix it? Price estimate for area? I can't believe it happened!
Neck contours are very subtle and when liposuction is performed in the neck, only very small amounts of fat are removed. Without care dents are easily seen though the thin skin. Dents can be repaired with fat grafts taken from elsewhere and this is the best approach to try. Your surgeon should be able to handle the repair if you have chosen well, otherwise if you have lost confidence let another have a look.
