I couldn't be happier with the results of my mommy makeover, and I owe it all to Dr. Lu and his amazing staff! From the moment I walked into the office, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism. Dr. Lu took the time to listen to all of my concerns and desires, explaining the entire process in detail and making me feel completely at ease. The staff was always friendly, supportive, and available to answer any questions throughout the journey. The surgery itself went smoothly, and the results exceeded my expectations! My body feels like it's regained its youthful shape, and I finally have the confidence I’ve been longing for. What impresses me most is how consistent Dr. Lu's results are. I’ve seen his work on other patients, and every time, the outcomes are nothing short of incredible. He is truly a master of his craft, and it’s clear that he delivers beautiful, natural-looking results every single time. I can’t thank Dr. Lu enough for his expertise, skill, and care. If you’re considering a mommy makeover, I highly recommend Dr. Lu and his team – they truly changed my life for the better!
I got my rhinoplasty and buccal fat removal done by Dr.lu January 11. And it's already been a week and so far I love my results. My nose is swollen a little bit right now but even swollen I see the difference and it looks amazing not anything too dramatic different but very subtle natural results. He was also really kind and understanding and never made me feel uncomfortable during the procedure. Recommend
I am currently 3 months post op from my Tummy Tuck, AMR and lipo. I can’t even find enough superlatives to describe how I feel about my post op results. Super awesome fantastic happy relieved energetic…that about wraps it up. I am 62 year old mom of 3 grown children, all born a year apart. My body never recovered from Baby 1 or 2 when I had 3. So I for sure lay all the blame on them for what happened as a result of 3 pregs. Just kidding. Life got busy and I did not take care of my health so when I hit menapause, my body was not kind. I was busy taking care of 3 kids, 2 elderly parents and I came last. When I lost both parents last year, I found myself faced with taking care of my mental and physical health. So at 5’2” 195 lbs, I enlisted the help of my fantastic surgeon who did my daughters breast reduction, for my own surgery. Following surgery which included a 36 lb. weight loss, I am an entirely new person. I am enjoying walking, getting out of the house and I look forward to getting dressed every day. I needed an entirely new wardrobe and that was an unexpected delight! Dr. Lu and his PA, Katie are the very very best! Always kind and took my calls at any time. I think my photos speak for themself. I honestly feel like I am 32, not 62! Updated on 25 Sep 2023: I also wanted to mention I did not find this surgery painful, however the worst part for me was the compression garment post op. Since I have a fairly short torso, the bunching up of the garment presented the most issues for me. I am still wearing compression at 3 no post op because I feel more supported in it. My stomach is still fairly numb, and the compression panty I am wearing helps the weird feeling following nerve end healing. Forgot this photo, the important front view. I am considering some additional lipo in the next year or so. I would recommend anyone go to Dr. Lu, I felt he really treats holistically. Updated on 12 May 2024: This is 1 year out. Sorry about the elastic marks, but you can see my scar clearly. I have gained back about 4 lbs. I had touch up lipo about 7 weeks ago. I feel good and have dropped from a six 16 to a size 8/10. I still have some numb areas, but that may be from my touch up liposuction.
I had a great experience and I am so happy with how my breast reduction turned out. I feel like a new person and so much more comfortable. Dr. Lu was great before and after surgery and I was not worried at all. I can not recommend him enough.
Where to begin? I have always been underweight or on the low end of normal weight. Still, my double chin was so prominent. No matter how much weight I lost it wouldn't budge. I tried EVERYTHING. The little chin workout exercise devices, the diets, makeup, even Kybella! *Side note: In my personal experience, 3 vials of Kybella did a TEENY TINY bit of slimming (I'd say 5-10% fat reduction), but nowhere near what I was expecting. Not a fan.* This fat on my face made me so insecure, especially since I do quite a bit of on-camera work as a singer/actress and I've had to consult with camera people before shooting to specifically instruct them to only shoot me from a certain height so as not to get the unflattering angles. The camera tricks only went so far; my double chin almost always found a way to pop out. My career is why I'm not posting before and after photos here, but I am being completely transparent and honest when I tell you this: Now my fat is gone and I feel like my true self can shine. I knew beneath the bubble was a jawline queen somewhere. I look at videos and photos of myself from the recent pre-op past and see just how much of a difference there is 3 months post-op. Worth. Every. Penny. The awesome part is this didn't just enhance my profile, it also enhanced the frontal view of my face! I am so much more at peace now with the way I look. Now for the not-so-sexy parts: 1. The procedure was more painful than I'd anticipated. I cried very hard during it even though I was half out of it. I used local anesthesia which really hurt going in. If you are someone who cannot tolerate pain, spend the money on general anesthesia. Personally, I have been through so much in my life and wanted this procedure done so badly that if I had to go through that pain again to know that I would be satisfied, I would. It was nothing compared to the pain of feeling insecure about my face for my entire life. 2. On the bright side, the post-op recovery was much LESS painful than I'd anticipated. I was a little sore, but the kind of sore you feel after a workout. I didn't even need the painkiller pills after Day 1. I want to stop here and emphasize that what I have just described is MY PERSONAL experience and this stuff varies immensely from patient to patient! 3. Wearing the compression garment SUCKED for me. I'm pretty sensitive to comfort and the garment was NOT my cup of tea. I did well keeping it on 24/7 for the first 3 days and then I wore it as much as I could after that but boy was it not fun. At times in the middle of the night I would take it off and set an alarm to put it back on just so I could get a few hours of decent sleep. 4. Okay readers, now it is time for the most important thing I will say in this entire blurb: MY RECOVERY WAS NOT LINEAR. The swelling got worse before it got better. Immediately after the surgery when I got home, I lifted the garment and peeked in the mirror and I was so impressed with what I saw. Two days later, I was puffy and swollen. Six days later, I looked worse than I had looked before the procedure! That insane swelling lasted for over a week and a half. I called the clinic multiple times expressing my concern, and was told to keep waiting. I had several panic attacks and I cried a lot because even 4 weeks in I was still puffy (most resources I came across online said the swelling would go down to normal and I'd see results within 2 weeks) and I was beginning to think it wasn't swelling but rather fat that was still there. I was terrified that this was it, this was my result, that I had just spend $3,400 and weeks of my time recovering for.... Nothing. Now that enough time had passed after the procedure, I was invited back to the clinic for some steroid injections to help the swelling go down. Within a few days of the steroid injections, I finally saw it. I saw my jawline. It WAS worth it. If you are reading this and considering getting the procedure or you just got it and are wondering why you're not seeing results, I want you to know that it WILL happen. Swelling is different for everyone. 3 months post-op and I am thrilled with the results. I still don't have an Ariana Grande/Angelina Jolie jawline with the fierce geometry and perfect chiseled lines, but nobody could tell me I have a double chin now and that's what matters. There's still a bit of slight "softness" there but I don't mind it as there is no bulge ;) I can't say getting lipo transformed my life into sunshine and rainbows and all my problems went away, because they didn't. I am still working on being a better and happier person and no cosmetic enhancement can wipe away work that the soul needs to do. Still, as I navigate life's challenges, I know I am doing it looking gorgeous. Thank you so much, Dr. Lu!!!!
Only 3 days after procedure, but VERY pleased, so far. Dr. Lu was wonderful! Nurse in the preop said he was excellent and made me feel relaxed. Should have done 2 years earlier, but Covid got in the way. I can't wait to see the progress and may do a follow up on this site. Updated on 17 Nov 2021: 5th day in. Swelling and bruising subsiding. Heads up..do not think you can drive at this point. My peripheral vision is not 100% yet, because of swelling. Stitches out in 6 days! Thank you Dr. Lu! (Nothing else to say at this point...did I fill up 200 characters yet? Lol) Updated on 19 Nov 2021: 11/19/21. Virtually no swelling and bruising has disappeared. My stitches are well lubricated and will be removed 11/23. Taking my last antibiotic today. My vision (peripheral) is vastly improved. Very pleased! Updated on 22 Nov 2021: The swelling and bruising have subsided. Stitches are being removed tomorrow and looking forward to not having to lubricate my eylids.. This is a shot without makeup ..looking forward to putting on eye shadow and mascara! Very pleased with the healing process. Updated on 30 Nov 2021: Stitches came out a week ago and I applied antibiotic ointment to further the healing process. (One week). Today I applied silicone gel indicated for reduction of scarring. Will continue this for a week or so. This photo is without make up and will start wearing eye make up in a few days!
I am so grateful and thankful for Dr. Lu, Katie, and the whole staff. Dr. Lu did a beautiful job on my breast reduction. I could not be happier with the results. I feel so much more like how I should be feeling. Katie was there every step of the way and so is Dr. Lu. I cannot recommend these people enough.
I told him the day of my mommy makeover and now I will leave it here in a formal review 2 months post op. Dr.Lu is an artist and I am blessed enough to be one of his masterpieces. After years of research I finally found my surgeon. Here’s how…Dr. Lu was personally recommended , he gave me an in person consultation and answered all my questions, his team is very professional , his office and OR were very clean , and provide a very calm atmosphere. I am in love with my new body! I love how Dr.Lu provided excellent bedside manners post op. I am grateful to him and his whole team especially Anayeli , Katie, Maria and everyone else who works at Ritacca cosmetic surgery.
Run, don't walk to Dr. Leonard Lu. I researched many board-certified plastic surgeons in the state. No one else had a before and after body of work portfolio (pun intended) that was as stunning as Dr. Lu's. Plastic surgery is so personal. Every doctor has their own technique and aesthetic and Dr. Lu is truly an artist, a master of his craft. I had such confidence in him even before my consultation that when I met with him, he only further solidified my certainty in choosing him and I booked my surgery for his earliest opening right there on the spot. I did not meet with any other surgeons and I was confident that I didn't have to. I am only 3 weeks post op from my mommy makeover that included an extended tummy tuck, liposuction and breast lift and I feel more and more like my best self every day. In fact, this mommy makeover recovery is a breeze compared to my c-section, and perhaps that's the difference in choosing a doctor who is at the top of his field. Dr. Lu, Katie and his entire surgical team far surpassed my expectations and these aren't even my final results! I acknowledge that I am his patient and paying for his time and skills but beyond that, I am the one who feels lucky to have had him be the one to transform my body. I am so incredibly grateful to have had him change my life forever. Dr. Leonard Lu, Katie, Maritza, Maria and his entire plastics team are worth the wait and every single penny. What are you waiting for?
I had Tummy tuck and Muscle Repair done by Dr. Lu I had an amazing experience. I had my surgery 5 weeks ago and I feel great. Dr Lu and his medical team treated me as if I was someone in his family. His assistant explained everything to me from start to finish as well as Dr Lu. After my surgery they followed up with me multiple times to check on me.Dr Lu and his team are EXCELLENT!!! Can't wait to get my breast lift. My advice Forget going elsewhere go with Dr Lu.
Great question! Based on your photos, I would advise you'd be happiest with a tummy tuck and liposuction. Your abdomen can become flatter with solely liposuction. However, you will still have excess skin and the laxity won't be solved. I recommend scheduling a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon to receive a professional opinion in person.
Great question. Many people are great candidates for rhinoplasty surgery. From your photos, my opinion is that a rhinoplasty would be a relatively simple fix for the bump on the bridge of your nose. A plastic surgeon would remove the bump and most likely lift the tip of your nose a bit. You can also look into a nonsurgical option with hyaluronic acid dermal fillers.
Great question. It's always a good idea to look at all of your options. In my professional opinion, you are a great candidate for a tummy tuck. Surgery does leave the scar, but your results will be much better with one surgical procedure, rather than multiple costly treatments to improve laxity and reduce fat. Since the key area is just the tummy, a tummy tuck would absolutely transform your body by removing the excess skin. As always, do your thorough research when choosing a plastic surgeon. Schedule multiple consultations with Board-Certified Plastic Surgeons. Hope this helps!
Great question. I would recommend scheduling consultations with board-certified plastic surgeons who specialize in breast augmentations and lifts. It is very common for patients to have naturally asymmetrical breasts. An experienced plastic surgeon will be able to assess your body and either insert two different size implants and/or perform a breast lift on the lower breast. I recommend researching plastic surgeons in your area by looking at reviews and before & afters of their breast augmentations and lifts.
Great question! BMI is important to avoid complications during surgery while being under anesthesia. The specific BMI is very dependent on the individual and what your PCP determines is safe for you. I recommend asking your primary care doctor what they determine is ideal for you personally.
