I got juvedurm plus injected in my lips a couple months ago and the effect of the juvedurm seemed to be wearing off so I went in a week ago to get my lips refilled... I like the size of my lips right now but a "whitish" bump seems to have surfaced on my top lip making my lips look unporportional. Can the injections that dissolve the juvederm actually disolve a small portion of your lips?like just that bump?
Visible bumps that appear after being injected with Juvederm are usually bluish in color. You may have a milia or small cyst if the lesion appears white. You should follow- up with your physician.
I've been researching how long Juvederm lasts, but what people say in Juvederm reviews and what the FDA says don't really match up. Can someone tell me, how long does Juvederm last? Does where you have the Juvederm injections in your face make a difference in how long it lasts?
As you can see, there is some question as to how long it actually lasts. The question is answered geenrally with the answer 4-6 months, but can last to one year. But I like to joke and say it's kind of like the Tootsie-Pop owl, and the world may never know...
I went a couple days ago to get my lips plumped up with Juvederm. The MD applied a topical anesthetic and then proceded to give a local one like you get in your gums at the dentist. It was so painful that I fainted. I didn't even get to have my lips done. I'm too scared to go back and finish the procedure but I paid a lot of money. Is there any way this can be completed with out me having to pass out from the pain? Should lip injections hurt this bad?
Juvederm XC, the product that I like to use, comes in a syringe with an exceptional small needle and it is also mixed with lidocaine. I usually have a patient place a small ice pack on their face for a few minutes as well. This helps a lot. Generally speaking, patients tolerate the procedure well. It is also helpful, if you are really nervous, to take a Valium/Xanax before you have the procedure done. I have had a few patients who are really nervous do this, and this seems to help tremendously. It is important to come with someone when you do this. You can't drive if you take these sedatives.
