I consulted a cosmetics clinic after suffering from acne scars and old acne spots. after performing fractional laser on my whole back caused severe pigmentation in the acne spots and it looks terrible. I would like to know if chemical peeling is possible for the body? (back or shoulders) to enhance my problem and get rid of the pigmented spots?
Chemical peels can remove dark spots from the body. These peels should be light peels and repeated often so as not to further damage skin of the body.
I expected to see some brown spots flake off, as I've read, and some change in the capillaries...I see NO difference. I am scheduled to have another treatment in two weeks. I am disappointed. Am I being impatient?
Laser treatments of skin may require repeat treatments. That is because the treatments must be titrated to each patient and this will minimize side effects.
I had a microdermabrasion done and my doctor applied a pumpkin peel afterwards. I felt a burning sensation immediatly, she said it was normal. I noticed about 20 minutes later a quarter sized dark brown spot on my cheek, is this a burning side effect? i have brown skin and had chemical peels before but this is the first time i had this reaction. Will this fade? Did she use the wrong peel on me?
Performing chemical peel after microdermabrasion can be dangerous. This is because the normal skin is no longer in tact before the peel solution is applied and it is impossible to know how deep the peel will penetrate.
