I recently went to see a doctor for Smart Lipo. His name is Dr L. He told me that Smart Lipo will leave burn marks on Asian Skin, so he wouldn't recommend it to me (I am an asian women). However, his answer didn't really convinced me so I am asking you Is Smart Lipo not good for Asian Skin?
Smart Lipo does not act up on the skin surface, but rather deep below the skin. It has been proven to be able to tighten skin from below.
Done properly it should never create a burn, no matter what type of skin you have.
Had smartlipo on chin area only 10 days ago. Been taking Arnica Montana starting 2 days before surgery, drinking lots of water, & exercising. Chin is bigger then before surgery, seems to remain or get a little bigger every day. Wore compression garment first 2 days, then 12 hours per day after. Garment too big, so I wore it a bit tighter because it didn't feel supportive. Could I have caused scar tissue by wearing it too tight? Is it okay to still wear it? Do my symptoms sound concerning?
Based on what you describe, it would be best to be evaluated promptly by your surgeon to make there is no infection.
I am going to have smart Lipo in a week and want to make sure I get the best results. My Doc suggested Spanx but is that not enough of a compression? I want to be able to wear my work out clothes over it so lines are not wanted. Please tell me what is THE best garment
The best liposuction compression garments are the medical compression garments made by companies such as Marena. They are very strong, but thin, so that you can wear them under clothes without them being visible. They are a little more expensive than spanx, but they are stronger and do a better job. You want the garments to be firm enough that you have trouble getting in to them initially. I hope this helps.
